this has been tried for years.
social workers only making things worse - constantly coming up with excuses for the bad mannered kids and their families.
you have to set priority to take care of the other normal kids in class - can't have a (frank)ing bad mannered kid take over the whole class dynamics. doesn't matter if the kid is 6-7-8 y old - swearing and hitting a teacher means he should be banned from that school. - MaximusAurelius
“Bad mannered“

I have to hand it to you, I thought your first comment would be a racist one.
Turns out it's a misogynist one.
Although we all know your racists comments will be along shortly. |

any 8y kid that hits a teacher after being asked to sit down in his chair has a serious problem.

this is a classic case of completely missing the boat on "statistics".
how tall is Gauthier - and how heavy? and how many minutes did he play?
Engvall
Marincin
Spezza's a pretty big guy.
how much "intensity" does Marincin have? that's correct - zero.
Clifford played an average of what 7 minutes a night
this isn't rocket science.. but you do have to look past the "average height" simplistic stuff
- BorjeFan4Ever
Hahaha ....somebody's emo! The Leafs and CLB are the same height and the Leafs are heavier according to the NHL. But that wasn't my point - I couldn't care less.
Some teams are big and use their size to intimidate and forecheck hard ...like Vegas. CLB didn't play that way. Dubois and Jones are big boys but they hardly go looking for big hits. They play really good positional hockey - a trademark of a Torts-led team. |

Thanks!
What's an average ticket worth? It looks like revenue in non-playoff years is around $200M.
I was hoping for a breakdown but I'm not paying to get behind that firewall. |

dont like that willie deal
whats up with Kase in Boston, he would be a good low key add to replace a winger a bit cheaper and better def. - senstroll
Considering it's not a good trade straight up for Nylander, I'm not surprised. |

just explain to me - why should normal kids have to adapt to the bad-mannered / violent kids? - MaximusAurelius
OK, Max, I'll explain it to you:
In the state of Florida, you have a lot of ignoramuses who were brainwashed by Ronald Reagan into thinking that the government was the enemy of the people, and that less taxes meant greater prosperity.
Despite the fact that every single franking economist without a pre-determined agenda will tell you this is false, the myth persists.
So Florida schools have less resources (i.e., money) to expand programs and deal with special needs kids. No educators want them in regular classrooms, but they literally have nowhere else to put them (as they don't have social workers in schools, special needs classes, etc.).
"Why not expel the 6, 7, 8 year olds?" you ask?
Well, great idea Max. And then what happens?
You can send them to another school, I guess, but that's actually making the problem worse.
"Make the parents home school the kid!" Yeah, that's an even dumber idea.
As a society, not having the kid in a classroom is a ticking time bomb.
The easy solution is to raise taxes, so that schools have the resources they need.
But Florida, so that isn't happening.
Your move, Max. |

That's not what you're arguing. You're arguing that 'normal kids' (whatever the (frank) that means) should not have to educate with kids who have disabilities.
And it's too late in my day to get into an issue like that.
My kids are healthy and privileged (knock on wood) and being exposed to kids from all walks of life (including kids with disabilities that might lead to something like this) is not a bad thing ...it's a very good thing. The world is not for just the 'normal'. Best that they/we learn to cope and live together. |

Average ticket price is a meaningless statistic unless you compare it with actual attendance. |

Thanks Wedgie.
$97 M in gate receipts, hardly a drop in the bucket. Haven't seen merchandise yet but I'd fully expect that to take a hit with a struggling economy. |

It's all good, Antonio. Rangers will always be my team, but I'm done with New Yorkers - well at least their hockey fans. Life's too short for that kinda garbage! I've been in here for a year, and occasionally in other blogs... Hell, I even raid the Habs thread from time to time. |

No, I think basically it was a pair of homeless guy (lots of tents up at Cherry beach) fighting with the late night party crowd (they have a DJ that plays there every weekend). The homeless guys took a beating so they went a grabbed two chainsaws and came back looking for the party. They were drunk so by the time they got back the morning windsurf crowd was there and these two (frank)s didn't know the difference. |

I get it, I was talking specifically about the Leafs. I have a general idea what a Cancuks ticket is worth at face value as i'm still on their mailing list although I gave up my tickets years ago.
When talking about MLSE's ability to absorb things financially, taking away the gate is 40% of their revenue. |
