This again?

No NHL GM is ever going to win every trade. None. Best you can hope for is to win more then you lose and correct you're errors along the way. The salary cap also comes into play. They're also not going to draft all potential top 6 forwards or top 4 d-men or starting goalies.

Some of the wins are addition by subtraction. The fact they got a player who may help by launching Mr. "I'm Real Good For 10 Games A Season" Perllini is a win in my book. The fact we got a player who can contribute for Brandon "Frigqin" Manning is amazing. DeHaan is currently the Hawks 3rd best d-man, wonky shoulder and all.

Danualt was traded because the Hawks were going all in that year. It didn't work. Sh!t happens. How much is Panarin making now? How was that salary going to fit in on this team?

I'm as spoiled as anyone after the 3 cups but, crap even I know you can't win all the time and sometimes the plan doesn't always work.

- Rota's Rooter

Just responding to s previous post. Those trades are in the past cannot do anything about them now. My point going forward bowman if he makes trades need to be value for value.

Ok wiz who at that 2nd round pick would be good choice or choices?
- Scott1977

I love Dufour, I think he is a real sleeper, let bloomer with size / edge scoring and just coming's g in to his own.

At 55 who knows whose there?

Vegas' LW Tuch's brother Luke is a whole lot like his game,
all the guys I have in my first that every other site is ignoring,

A couple defenseman that everyone seems to not like (but I do) are Tyler Kleven Justin Barron, Tyler O'Rourke, and out west Alex Cotton.

Maybe the kid I have in the Hawks second round spot is too low,
Samuel Colangelo butta more than one kid on that Steel team that have long term upside. ( Ian thinking his teammate Brendan Brisson will b=get taken probably higher than he should, and other teammate, Sean Farrell, will linger because he is a smaller.

I am clueless to who will take these Euros and when but I am not moving them because someone says there is buzz:

Noel Gunler, John-Jason Peterka,Jan Myšák and Lukas Reichel who I have close to out of that 20-40 plus tier and some many are talking early fired rounder.

I like Czech import Martin Chromiak who was with Kingston OHL last year.

It becomes difficult for me to separate the Hawk fan boy from the picks.
I think they need guys who they can defat with size and some grit who can grow into scorers, and that is why I like Holloway, Jake Neighbors, Chromiak, Dufour, high schooler scorer Blake Blondi who nobody has early in the second. And I am alone in my Ridley Greig first round.
Everyone is on the Toronto Nick Robertson bandwagon...he is small, always feisty, a scorer and was the best player in the Prospect tourney in his draft year, so no surprise to me.
I would like the hawks to find a guy already hitting the opponents and wall who can gain confidence to be an attacker.

The hawks got the penguins second rd pick it should drop as Pitts out already
- Abadseed

No

the second through seven rounds do not adjust, just the first

Vegas got it and traded it for Lehner

UNLESS ...I AM TOTALLY INCORRECT.

BUT I DOUBT THE LEAGUE WOULD SUDDENLY RESSED THE OTHER ROUNDS TOO BASED ON THESE THREE LOSSES..

YIKES.

My NHL Draft has it like I do.

Cap friendly has to my knowledge not been accurately adjusted and when the change their first round order there entire list changed (like mine and I had to go in and fix)

Cap Friendly has the pick at 46 so that is why I didn't think they were accurate...

I know that Chicago will receive the higher of Calgary or Edmonton's third-round pick in 2020 if Calgary acquires the Oilers' third-round pick in 2020. Otherwise the Blackhawks will receive the Flames' third-round pick in 2020

Trades are supposed to be even not "won." Saad Panarin trade isn't bad when you factor two years vs four of use. Nylander Joki trade still undecided.
- rpeters01

That’s correct, trades are supposed to help out both teams, you are trading surplus for a need. The only trade that hurt us was Danault, he would be a nice 3rd line center and would make Strome expandable. I also understand that they were going for it and were trying to improve their bottom six, it didn’t work out, every contender tries to add at trade deadline, only one team succeeds.

Elevating his game would be putting up major points. Not simply being a pain in the ass. Kane must score. Cagguila - Toews - Kubalik
Saad - Dach - Kane
Debrinkat - Strome - ?

- rpeters01

I don't expect any line-up changes for game 1.

20-19-8
12-77-88
92-17-91
36-64-22

2-27
44-5
6-68

50

Depending on how the Hawks do, I could see substitutions for 92 and/or 91 at some point.

I just sent out 42 requests rtoi try and find out if the league is in fact doing what I think, leaving the other rounds alone, or revision all of them to look like the new first round.

Would they change eb=v erything based on three play in losses?

Because every other year it wa sonly a first round restructure...

If anybody finds out please let me know!

I am losing it now in this limbo, and the draft is JUST right around the corner...in October, lol !

That third line needs to step up. That is an opportunity for the 20/21 season, we need to improve our third line, championship teams normally have top five third lines.

Is DeBoer going to put Stone's line against Toews or Kane's line?

I'm excited for match-ups in this round. Edm wasn't a deep team beyond 3 speedy centers. A department Vegas isn't that great in. I expect Lehner to be tuned in against his old team, but I hope we light him up. D is questionable.

I think we can take Vegas. A lot of momentum with our guys. JC is okay, but I want to see how he handles this. I'm not expecting changes, not that we have any huge ones to make. Strome is the guy to look at closely now, outside of the usual suspects. I see him stepping up.

Q put Saad with Kane and I think Richards in '15 against Tampa and they clicked.

Probably Toews since they are the hotter of the 2.

I also think the Hawks have a better chance going against a DeBoer's managed team than Gallant

What would be great is if the Hawks come out and score a bunch of goals get the win and after the game we get to watch Lehner have one of his great post game comments where he throws the team under the bus in front of him

Hope the Hawks remember that Lehner's rebound control is suspect and instead of trying the fancy play just put the puck on net and crash the net.

I don't know but he is making $7 mil. for 2 more years with a NTC, maybe they want to get him pissed off so they could trade him. They need the cap space.

Only played one of the 3 games in the play-in, and it wasn't good.

Stopped 13 of 17 shots in a VGK 6-4 win over STL. All 4 goals against were 5v5. That's a 76.5 save percentage.

Lehner played the other 2 RR games.

The white Sox officially suck again

No but seriously gotta be patient and lower the expectations. Average team as is. Next season and beyond I expect gradual improvement towards contending.

- SimpleJack

Meh, If they are at or above 500 i'll be happy. Tough without Anderson in the line up.

Robert didn't play yesterday either.

I think they're close. And if they could get some consistency in their hitting outside of Moncada and Robert that would be helpful. The middle of the line up hasn't quite found it yet. If they get hot they can go on a 10-15 game tear with the bats they have. Its really a when thing.

The D-men seemed to get that idea against the Oilers. now we just need a more concerted effort by the forwards.

I though Saad, Dach, Toews, and Kubalik did a pretty good job. I'd like to see ADB get back to attacking the slot like he used to. I'm hoping that he defers to Dach or Kane for the zone entries since he tends to have some trouble skating it in himself.

I think Kane and Co. know Lehner's weakness. Kane is a student of the game. I'm sure the team picked up a few of them while Lehrner was in town.

Players can change up the spots they try and pick.... Lehner can't suddenly make his weaknesses go away.

A break away or two would be nice.
