Isn't the rest of the draft order based on where teams end up in the playoffs? Thus, if the hawks win the cup, they get the last pick of the 1st round. If so, then #17 isn't guaranteed just yet.

I think those who just want to blame the president for everything can never admit anything positive. It's a global pandemic and our system has 50 different governors whom all control their states not the president so if you want to blame anyone blame the media who is constantly in panic porn mode lying daily to the American people and governors whom are playing politics in order to keep the economy shut down. Nobody here can say anything negative about the economy prior to covid and that's how we all know if anyone can return jobs it's this president whether you like him or not his track record has proven that also if it weren't the us having a strong economy our economy would have collapsed already .

Yeah but covid has infected everything and reality is that hockey's future survival and for that matter all sports rest on the pandemic and the election. Without a growing economy and getting a cure that as of right now their are 3 vaccines in stage 3 clinical trials which is promising, nothing will fully recover and how the direction of this country goes come Nov 3rd.

Baseball might get canceled football is still a question mark. And if colleges don't have sports how does that affect the future of these programs with producing the next generation of talent.

I wasn’t a big fan of hockey coming back this season. I just wanted them to go away and come back sometime in 20-21 when things settled down.

Having said that, I’m surprised how much I’ve enjoyed the qualifying rounds. As much as I missed hockey and the lack of closure to the season, for the first time in Four months the game has returned some firm of normalcy to the sporting life.

I think hockey has put together a solid plan for the tournament and has created two effective bubbles for the teams to play under.

My only fear for the tournament is that if one if the teams had a couple of players test positive, they don’t have the luxury of just postponing the series as baseball does now and we will find a team advancing by default.
