Lukas Jasek has signed with HC Ocelari Trinec. Deal has an out clause that will permit Jasek to return to North America for NHL training camp.

This will permit Jasek to play competitive games in the interim.

I would say there are, and were, more people excited about the team than down on them this year. The extreme haters and fanboys are the loudest voices but I think a majority of regular fans are/were cautiously optomisitc to optomistic about the teams chances. End of the day, this team was built for the playoffs, not the regular season.

Wow, a life filled with regrests and missed opportunities oozes from this comment haha even playoffs can't cheer up the "smartest guy in the room crowd".

D needs to keep getting better (much better) but beginning structure of the team is built around solid goltending and a forward group (plus QH) that can win in multiple ways and has gamers (i.e. last guy in the gym types)...built for playoff style hockey

The Beagles of the group can add character now but obviously need to be replaced by younger/faster options over the next three years. If management can adequately complete that transition, the team will be in good shape with QH, EP40, Bo and JT driving the bus.

A more eloquent way of putting it than my thoughts. I can see other ppl here being more reserved & conservative or even guarded optimism. The rest will say I don’t believe it til I see it. Some cap moves still needed but I see it can be done without much pain. I’m high on Rathbone & OJ will be a solid cost control 3rd pairing as early as next year. 1 top RHD away if Tanev walks. Toffoli resigned at a fair price as long as not more than 4yrs I can live with.

I know the regular season match ups Canucks faired well vs the Blues but this is the playoffs now for real and the Blues will bring it.

The Bruins and Blues coasted through the tournament because they know how long and tough a Cup run is and were saving it. Can they turn it on for playoff hockey? Probably better then most other teams they know how to ramp it up.

Though in favor of an upset is that Canucks have no pressure and nothing to lose here going against the Cup Champs.

That goes against the grain of every hockey pro. They don’t coast but they will be less engaged. There is no switch to turn on. It’s an ill advised way to play & the round robin games shakes off some rust. Why were other teams flyingg & some were not? Could it be age us catching up? Subpar goaltending?
