I appreciate that nobody wanted to pretend Taylor Hall was resigning in the desert. Although it’s possible.... new GM....never know.
Seriously, Avs are a pretty tough team... |

great, I'm a nobody now.
and the Avs are a freaking tough team lol. They're a top tier team. The Yotes will need a miracle to win 4 before losing 4. I don't take much from the Preds series other than Yotes can put up a fight and Kuemper is solid. Nashville shot themselves in the foot many times and probably would've won that series with a different coach. BUT, we move forward. Good luck Coyotes. I'd really like a 1st in next year's draft. |

Anybody want to pretend AZ can win a playoff round and resign Taylor Hall???? Just so we can be disappointed again. - Queenie_5_hole
Arizona is not beating Colorado. |

It won't even be fun to watch. It's going to be a sad thrashing, an embarrassment.
so we lose out on 9th, and then we lose out on another 1st. woe is us. Thanks for a playoff birth, Hall, in spite of you're wreck of a coach. |

If Askarov is still hanging around in the 18-20 range you have to take him. My hope though, is some teams picking 1-6 will reach and take guys like Askarov early, dropping another really good prospect to the Devils at 7. There are some decent goaltending prospects that will be around in the 2nd and 3rd rounds also. |

So is Todd done writing for the Devs? Or just on a hiatus while the Devs remain stagnant. |

we were hoping for that with 11th.. or even 9th. The best gems will be gone by 18, but your point is still valid. I can't imagine anyone taking him before 7. |

100% agree. If we have a pick beyond 10th, and he is available, draft him.
As for Hall, I guess our best hope is that the Yotes win the first round, giving us a 2nd, and we re-sign him. I would sooner have him back as a Dev then have our 2nd upgraded to a 1st at the cost of Hall. If the rumors of the 5 yr 6M AAV offer is true, we would have no problem adding to the term or AAV. Here's to hoping.
At least it appears that all our trade conditions are coming up on our side. Vats should fetch an additional 3rd, I'd prefer this seasons Vancouver pick vs next years, and Hall is coming through big for the club. Despite being a bottom 7 team, it's not a bad time to be a Devs fan. |

Yeah absolutely take him if he’s there, the goalie pipeline is shallow here. |

It just seems like this series was boys vs men. Talented paid boys that know how skilled they are.. vs a team that wanted to win and worked to win it in all zones of the ice.
It looks like a culture/maturity thing for the Leafs. Maybe Nylander has to go in a dynamite package? idk. |

just looking at Tampa's cap situation. What the heck are they going to do? Move Johnson? Palat?
Sergachev and Cernak are RFAs. Hedman and McDonagh are signed. Does Coburn play? 1 more year of him. .. but otherwise they have 3 spots to fill on D. Cirelli and Joseph are RFAs. That'll give them 12 forwards and 7 D. They'll have 5M in cap space to do it all. |

So did Columbus miss Bobrovsky (Florida), Duchene (Nashville), Panarin (NYR)? |

Thanks! I am glad he has his own thing going on. I have read many articles/blogs over the years and he was easily my favorite writer of the bunch. It's too bad he won't be entertaining HB Dev's fans any longer, but I am happy he still will be pumping out good content on another platform. |

30M AAV that ran away from the club and all failed..... Wow. I guess they miss Dzingle??? Haha. Good for the Jackets, who we likely all had as a bottom 5 team to start out the season. |

I think Hall walks into free agency. So long as his time with the Dev's was somewhat pleasant, we should have a decent chance at bringing him back at a better price then originally though. If yotes rumors of 5 years at 6M AAV are true, we could easily beat that. |

No way you give up on Boqvist after this season, will only be his 2nd year on NA ice - he is a top 3 prospect in our system still
I’d like Drysdale or Sanderson with the 7th pick and then take a forward or two with 18/20. Would be okay with Askarov there as long as we grab a defensemen with one of the other 2 picks
If not those 2 give me Rossi, Raymond, Holtz, Perfetti in that order
For 18/20 hopefully Jarvis falls to us

Whoever is giving up on Boqvist has completely lost it. I completely agree with pretty much everything here. |
