Real glad it was him... gonna need more guys to come through... when you think about it, they beat out the Pens with no goals from Gallagher, Tatar and Domi! Won't be the case in the next round and whatever is going on with Max has to be set aside for now, we need him in the top 9... Armia needs to get his sh!t together too, he picked the wrong time to be at his worst since coming to Montreal, he has a lot more to offer - obie
Agreed. Domi’s face after the win reassured me and not once in this series did he look like he was pouting, he’s really been a team guy, played with the plugs they gave him, time to put him to better use. Also liked his instagram post about Belzile. |

What did his post say?
And what's the deal with Poehling? Was Belzile really the better option of the 2? |

Since they needed a winger on the 4th line, I'd say yes.
Belzile has always performed well but never got a shot. He was a very good player in the AHL, had a great camp and he did a very good job on the forecheck last game.
I think he's a guy that's a perfect fit on the 4th line.
This being said, the guy I'd want to see replaced would be Weise as I don't see what he brings to the table anymore. Now you could replace him with Hudon but Julien simply doesn't trust him defensively. So maybe Poehling could be a fit there. It would make the 4th line more dangerous that's for sure.

They've had him in the system for awhile, you don't think they need more help there? Chiarot is a beast and if were talking in the now, I'm fine with a Petry/Chiarot 2nd pairing, that's pretty solid as far as I'm concerned but neither Romanov or Mete has any business on the top pair and nobody coming has that type of potential, we can hope but you don't build a winner off of hope |

Byron Poehling Evans would be my 4th line if Domi moves to the wing and Evans can go |

Chiarot has been good wherever they need him, but ideally I think it would be best to have him with Petry and have a guy that's more of a mobile D next to Weber! |

I don't think you get that at pick 16.
+, all we hear from Romanv is good. Maybe not right away, but I think he has 1st pair potential. |

At 16th you don't get a D that jumps in the NHL right away, no.... but you get a D that probably jumps to the top of the prospect pool at that position, by far their weakest position... And I'm not sure Romanov has that kind of potential, it would be great but the guy that drafted him said he was Emelin like |

Well, it wouldn’t but good grief how many first pick overall can a team have? I’m sick of Edmonton being handed the best players, the Jets would be a nice change especially since the year they were hoping to pick first, they ended up second when the Leafs won the lottery. Not that Laine is crap but it hasn’t been all smooth sailing for him. - Karine Hains
If Edmonton (or Pittsburgh) gets the first again I'm calling shenanigans ... I will go poop on Bettman's door step. |

1 out 8 chance for every team that did not qualify in his series. It's just %. |

Timmins drafted Beaulieu, Tinordi and Juulsen late in the first. I will not get ahead of myself. |

Yes he did. Chychrun already has 4 NHL years under his belt. 22 years old. Good thing Holland traded that pick so he could draft Cholowski. All so he could move Datsyuk's zombie contract. Then sign UFA Frans Nielsen for 6 years/$31.5 million. Good times. At least he got Hronek with the extra pick. |

When do players start taking responsibility for their own failures? Timmins didn't reach for any of those guys other than maybe Tinordi... and what's the % of impact players drafted in the 1st round, outside the top 5?
The fact that Galchenyuk failed at #3 doesn't automatically make Kotkaniemi a failure, does it? |

I always believe it's on the player to succeed. I keep listening to fans making excuses for Puljujarvi. Same with Yakupov and Ho Sang. Like it's the team's fault. Cry me a river. Sink or swim baby! |

no but Timmins has a track record with the draft.
I will still enjoy the playoffs for it is with the Habs in it. I think a losing culture is very bad for mtl young players. |

Is Cholowski officially a bust? Still young, some D take awhile... same with Juolevi in Vancouver, he's finally healthy now, still time for him to turn it around |
