I don’t know what that means but I can’t believe we used to eat those as a kid, so bad for you - Pacificgem
I think it's supposed to be an insult. Some angry, old man yelled it at me the other day. |

I’m up at 5:45am every morning, she sleeps until 10 or 11am because doesn’t go to bed until midnight. Old bird. - Pacificgem
Ya I'm up at 5:30 MT for work when I'm up there or the same time on my off rotation to follow the stocks. Need PYR to finish off my working career for me, hopefully by the end of the year. Freedom 47 has a nice ring to it.
But I still lasted till the end of OT! |

Quinn Hughes = special player....we don’t win that game or series without him. Rookie leading the team in playoff scoring, as a defenceman!

I remember there was a ton of debate on here after they drafted him about how good he would actually be, if with his size he could even produce in the NHL, etc etc.

The Canuck's Bobby Orr.
Watching him skate and make plays is incredible, smarts and vision off the charts. |

Ya they got him kinda where he was ranked, however, in a re-draft, he goes top two. Lucky the Canucks finished where they did so they could take him. |

Definitely not a hard decision, just a shock one. They didn't think there was any way Hughes would be there for them. JB talked to the Hughes family pre-draft and said if Quinn was still on the board, they were 100% taking him |

Nice work boys.
Good to hear they are playing as a team and sticking up for each other.
Kudos to Jake for fighting Hartman, the defense for playing pretty good and coach Green for willing to adapt, which I never thought would happen.
Hopefully next series, I get to watch more than the 5 periods I did in the thingy round. - Reubenkincade
Any team where the bench erupts when someone sells out to block a shot should be feared... That might’ve been my favourite part of last night’s game. I hate not having a pick near the top of this draft, but Miller's been well worth the price - he’s showing these kids what it takes to win, & a squad buying in like that makes for a dangerous underdog moving forward |

With him it was all about size. Still an old school mentality in the NHL regarding a players size, especially for a d-man as Lefty mentioned. The GMs who can get over that prejudice can make themselves look like geniuses. |

When Quinn Hughes body matures and he looks like Nick Lidstrom, he’s gonna win the Canucks first James Norris Trophy.

I hear you but is that because of last night? If they’re out in four against the Blues/Stars then it’s going to start hurting again. As much as JTM has been a breath of fresh air for a stale franchise, I would have liked JB to have a bit more negotiating skill so not having to overpay.
Even JTM admitted that the Canucks gave up a lot to get him (in a recent interview). |

Best canucks player and best defenseman the canucks have/will ever have
Also, juolevi lowkey played very well. Which is very nice to see. |

Okay serious question:
During the broadcasts, there is a heavily played commercial (i can't remember what it's for because I have been traumatized.) In the advert, there are a bunch of people including hockey players. Lots of different people from Cassie Campbell to Brent Burns (though I could be wrong as like I said I've been traumatized.) So my question is:
What the hell is up with Jim Hughson's hair? The first couple of times I watched it, I thought he was wearing a wig as a joke. But then as I've seen it more, I think it's his real pandemic hair. My god, it makes him look like a mannequin version of pinnochio if pinnochio was a pedophile.
Can someone explain Jim Hughson's hair to me so I can get over the PTSD? |
