you do realize that the playoffs are pretty grueling and that teams will be missing players, right? pointing out that the other team was missing this player or that player doesn't matter. the flyers are missing Patrick, lindblom, and raffl. they were also missing hart and jvr during their last win.
I guess Carlson is more important than the 5 players the flyers didn't have in the lineup last game. You're saying you're not trying to detract from the win. Then why mention it at all? - Ftown19125
Here we go. Not allowed to have my own thoughts and opinions. If you think Lindblom, Hart or Patrick are on a Rask or Carlson level, that’s your Delusion. |

He’s going to be left unprotected in the expansion draft for certain. It will be great getting that contract off the books. Although, he was playing well before the break. But he’s always a slow starter. AV isn’t going to spend the time getting him back up to speed. - section32
I would bet money that JVR is in the lineup come the first game of the playoffs. They don't have anyone close to his level to replace him right now.

He's mentioning it because he is entitled to offer an opinion. I don't see anything wrong with anything he said. It was pretty accurate overall.

hahaha I didn't say they were on his level. but to have 5 regulars out of the lineup vs 1 is pretty significant. let's not mention that though, let's mention the players the other teams were missing.
also, do you know that having those players would have changed the outcome at all? suppose rask has a bad game, or Carlson does? then what? you're saying the other team didn't play well? who gives a (frank)? |

I know I’m on an island alone but I haven’t felt the playoff intensity yet. I feel like Boston and Washington were missing two key players, if not their best players in Rask and Carlson but it doesn’t mean I’m taking anything away from what the Flyers have done. We’re ready, they weren’t. I’ve said from the start that I expect a deep run and I still do. This doesn’t mean we’ve seen the very best from other teams and it doesn’t mean the Flyers do not have room for improvement. Power play needs adjustment. The other three lines outside of the Hayes line, they need to be better.
For those who have an issue with this prospective, these are just my thoughts and opinions. - SuperSchennBros
For sure, watch the Toronto Colombia game last night and then watch ours, whole different level of intensity. Glad we are winning and doing good things but whole different ball game come game 1 |

I care that you regularly come up with an excuse for the team winning a game. The other team played their backup. The other team was missing player A or player B. I just don't think it makes any sense. |

I’m not dwelling on anything and it’s ridiculous that you would suggest this. My points are relevant to yesterday’s game. There is room for improvement. That’s a fact. |

There's always room for improvement, I would 100% agree with you there. I just don't understand the point of mentioning who the other team wasn't playing several times. |

Did you not just do this the other day to that PT guy? Don't get me wrong, I agreed with you, but you did this exact thing the other day.
Also, I didn't mean to say he can't post this or that. Obviously he can post whatever he wants, and he does. I just don't agree with mentioning the players the opposing team had out of the lineup. At the end of the day it doesn't matter. During the playoffs teams the flyers play will be without some of their key players. Does it make the win any less satisfying? To me, it doesn't. |

No I did not. What are you referring to? If you're referring to the politics discussion. I suggested that we don't talk politics on this thread out of respect for Bill as he has requested that. Isn't that quite different from chastising someone for giving a hockey opinion?

Okay, agreeing or disagreeing is what we're here for. This poster just takes way too much grief for speaking his mind and giving his opinion.

The political discussion was one example, the other was about Covid I believe. It could have all been part of the same argument honestly.
Maybe he does, but I also think he says certain things to get a reaction. Then, when he gets it, he cries foul. |

You and SSB need to use one of Michael Scott's 5 styles of conflict resolution.
Lose-Lose
Win-Lose
Compromise
Win-Win
Win-Win-Win
I suggest Win-Win-Win. You both stop responding to each other (Win-Win) and we as a group get a break (Win) from the nonsense. |
