There was a draft lottery just for insiders and other sources. LA won that one. Ek was there. But then word got out that LA wanted Byfield. So Bettman did another draft with LA getting #2. Ek got mixed up. Bettman wasn't happy that Ek nearly exposed the whole scam. Luckily not many people were paying attention that night.
