I hate earwigs. There was a ton of them for a few years when I was a kid. I think they go in cycles. I haven't seen one for years now and I hope I never do. |

I love the salad, the app and dessert. Lamb isn't my first choice.
Had a couple great striploins, garlic sautéed asparagus and roast baby potatoes, with butternut squash soup to start. Plate of blackberries, blueberries, mango, peach, fresh figs and 95% dark chocolate for dessert. Water to drink. - Zezel
I have a cousin that is a very well respected executive chef, he now lives in the US. He helped me do the shopping and the Lamb was purchased from a farm that offered only grass fed certified organic lamb. It was pretty spectacular - the wine was memorable. |

#1 reason I cannot ever move east of Saskatchewan again. (frank)ing earwigs. - joel878
I can't remember the last time I saw an earwig, and last year the ticks were everywhere, haven't seen one of those either. |

I can smell just about anything pertaining to food but when it comes to wine I can only tell the difference between white and red. |

It sounds great. If I still drank I'd love the wine pairings.
I got my steaks from a local small producer. Not certified organic, but humane and (frank)ing delicious. I don't eat much meat these days, mostly pescetarian, but when I do I get the good stuff and don't regret it. |

Have you ever had sweet potatoes? (not yams - the yellow legumes commonly refered to as sweet potatoes)

Our produce supplier labels them as yams, but I know sweet potatoes are orange. |

Yeah...do they have earwigs in them? Because if so I'm not gonna eat them again. They're not legumes though |

Sure you do, there are many pairings with dark chocolate that are very good even if they do not conform to general practice.
Amarone for example is easily paired with dark chocolate.

I like red wines, but I need them chilled.
White wines, forget about it. |

I get a headache by the time I finish my first glass. I didn't use to and I really miss wine. I'll have a glass every once in a while but the headache lasts 3 or 4 days. The only time I didn't was in Italy. I don't know if it's preservatives or what |

Some sweet potatoes are creamy white. I wish I could find those ones, I love them. I think in the American south they have more of them. |

I had Japanese sweet potatoes recently. Purplish skin and white flesh and they were tasty cut in half and roasted. |
