I thought it was top 4 ranked by round robin against qualifiers seeded, but no Iām not sure. - Canada Cup
Need the nerds to explain to me.
I thought 1-4 based on round robin (Right now Boston is only team in round robin without any points) So Boston #4 as of today.
Then remaining Qualifying teams are 5-8 based on point percentage in regular season. (Which looks like leafs will be 8th seed regardless)

I enjoy cooking as well. I make fish everything, being the grandson of a fisherman. Cool to try different fish with that recipe.

I thought Phase 3 vaccination testing involved peer review on the results. I could be mistaken. - Monkeypunk
You are probably correct if by peer review you mean the doctors administrating the vaccine.

If say the Habs win, then the Leafs would be no lower than 7th - assuming they win.

Not sure how it works, some are saying the round Robin re-seeds them others are saying no.
I think if they win an Montreal loses they play Boston, cheer for Montreal.
Then again if they are in forth isn't there a cross over? - bobbyisno1
Now I don't know what to think

The top 4 play a round robin to determine seedings 1-4. The 4 teams who win their qualifying series get seeded 5-8, the regular season determines the ranking.
Canes were 6th, but if Pittsburgh loses (lol), then the Canes would be 5th. - Steven_Seagull
I was backwards. Canes (top play in team) would play Boston (bottom round robin team)
If Montreal wins, they play the top and we play the second

Do you get nice fresh salt water fish? Cause there is the difference. Only two good fish in Ontario are Brook Trout and Pickerel.

I don't eat anything that comes from the ocean. I grew up in Nova Scotia, perhaps was force fed it to much as a kid. Happy to cook it for my family as much as I can however, everyone loves it and it's healthy. š¤·āāļø

Ya - Leafs being Number 8 was based on the massive assumption that Leafs/Pens/Isles with their series with Carolina already being in.

Leafs were 8th. The highest they can get now is 6th (because the Canes already won), the lowest is 8th - assuming they win.

Ok, so the Leafs being the 8th seed, means they could still potentially play Boston if the Bruins win their next 2 games?

Boston can finish 1-4, but as of right now they would be 4th. So they would face either the Pens or the Canes.

Not sure how accurate it is, but I was led to believe reseeding would be done in the same playoff format as the last few years.
As in, bottom two teams would be wild cards.
Top two teams in each division are playing for 1st and 2nd in their respective divisions.
Next highest seeded winner becomes 3rd in their division.
1st in Atlantic plays lowest 'wild card', etc.
Not the case?
