Those teams were amazing. Not filled with talent, but heart. Team and defense mentality. Blocked shots, hit, scrapped, did whatever needed to win. And dougie was often in the middle of it...

I cut my teeth on the Gilmour-era Leafs. Dougie had an edge to him. I just don't see that edge anywhere. Tavares and Matthews are gentlemen compared to guys like Gilmour.
I wanna see the Leafs get a couple of guys who can whoop ass and also pot a few occasionally - rabble rousers like Paquette or Maroon.
