Hopefully you have been saying the same thing about the KKK. It's the domestic terrorist group that has committed the most amount of terrorist actions on USA soil for the past 300 years and for some reason they never make the domestic terrorist list.

Turn
The
Channel

Same reason I turn the channel when the wife has "The Bachelor" on. I don't like the programming. You have freewill. Unless hockey is more important to you than rallying against the beliefs of terrorist who's ideology that has infected the sport you love. If that's the case, you need to take a long walk and look inwards.

You're confused. There is a difference between cannot provide and just not felt it is needed. Like I said, if you had an open mind, you'd educate yourself on this. You'd seek and find the readily available information that is out there on this group. They are not peaceful, they are marxist.
- MJL

You make a claim, then ask me to prove it..... You are the confused one in this instance. You are stating opinion. That's fine, but call it what it is. And define Marxist. "of Karl Marx or his theories?" Again, you can continue to make generalizations or provide evidence and context.

Great! I hope you are telling your elected officials that first they need to put the Klan on the domestic terrorist list, so that an example can be set for putting BLM on the same list!

Again, you are confused. I did not at any time ask you prove anything. It's not an opinion. It's well documented.

Yet you continued to watch while the American terrorists sent you their propaganda through a handful of Canadian hockey players and a Swede.

How about keep your damned politics OUT of the sport? It's not why we watch the games. We watch the games to be entertained and as an escape from the rest of crap we experience in the news day after day. No one says you can't go out and express your opinions elsewhere. Put it on YouTube on your own time and out of uniform. But not in the game. Whether you agree or not with their point, it doesn't matter. Pulling this crap only alienates 50% of the audience. They are ruining the game with this crap. STOP IT!!

When did we start setting the bar for the US at "Well, we're not as bad as Russia and China"? Way to set the bar pathetically low.

Also, to all the people who just want to watch hockey as an escape...that's the point. It's past time where that is no longer acceptable. Silence and inaction in civil rights issues is complicity in the violations. You're triggered because you can't ignore other people living in well-founded and empirically established fear of the police and government? Well, tough. Nothing changes unless the pathetic, self-absorbed morons who "just want an escape" are made uncomfortable and told THIS IS NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE.

Some things are more important than you're own self-involved comfort.

As an aside: from a neuro-biological perspective, it's cool to watch these interactions. On the civil rights side, we have well reasoned arguments from the prefrontal cortex and compassion from the right supramarginal gyrus. On the latent racist side, we have irrational emotional appears from the limbic system and xeniphobic existentialist terror from the amygdala. This sums up what is wrong with humanity in a nutshell...

Again, if it was well documented, you'd have evidence. I'll gladly take some time to look into these claims, but you made a claim and told me to go find evidence of your claim. At this point, you have only stated opinion and provided no evidence to prove your claims.

Though I am also glad to see you want the KKK listed as a terrorist group.

It's all PR. You don't want the soy rebellion on social media, which triggers and influences the MSM -- not to mention everyone afraid to not go along with the narrative.

That's why a strawman argument is named after a thing with no spine and that falls apart when shaken.

Again, you're confused. You're trying to insinuate that my reluctance to post information that is readily available is a sign of not having any evidence. Again, it is well documented is you look hard enough.

I don't think the Klan exists anymore, other than maybe a few people tucked away in the sticks and no one gives a damn about them or their effed up views. And last time I checked, the Klan was the terror arm of the Democrat Party. But that doesn't even matter. The Klan isn't out there rioting, looting, and burning down their neighborhoods. BLM and ANTIFA are the ones doing that.

Again, it just doesn't matter in relation to the sport of hockey. Keep the politics out of the damned game. Like I said in my other post, it only serves to p*ss off 50% of the audience. Why would you want to do that? MLB and NBA ratings are in the toilet. Why in the hell would the NHL want to do that? It's insane and in the end, it's only virtue signalling anyway.

if they want to have a real conversation, then have it

1. there is a lot of black people that are racist against whites, a non story
2. there is a lot of people behind these protests, that mark black owned businesses so they are not burned during the rioting
3, there is so much black on black violence, that it is disgusting

it needs to be a two way street, if I started a WET channel, I am racist but the BET channel is fine

you can have black awards, but how dare you think about having white awards

none of the people living in america ever owned a slave, that ended a long time ago and it's time to put the big boy pants on and act like a productive citizen instead of selling drugs, collecting food stamps and killing your own when the sun goes down

I mean: it was PROBABLY bad word choice, but when you catch a fish like that in a game of rhetoric played by someone with such an earnest confidence, you got reel it in, you know?

A bunch of pablum. It's not about "setting the bar" with Russia and China. It's about the hypocrisy, particularly the NBA's, spreading the LIES that America is racist while they turn a blind eye to the atrocities committed by the Chinese in their oppression of Hong Kong, their "disappearing of critical journalists, and their concentration camps with millions of Uighurs put into forced labor to make Nike shoes. When professional sports starts protesting those things, as well, then I'll give them some credibility. Until then, shut up and cash your huge checks.
