Instead of kneeling or holding up a fist, why don't all the players donate 10% of their salaries to black people that have been taken advantage of. Or how about the Cup winner foregoes the playoff winnings and the massive gold rings. Donate the money to this worthy cause. Once reparations have been fully paid we can take a look at other minorities that have been harmed. Latino lives matter. Japanese lives matter. Redheads matter. Etc...
- Kooleus

Because police brutality and discrimination doesn’t have a monetary value. It’s a systemic issue where how policing is done needs to change.

Marxism stands in diametric opposition to the Judeo-Christian foundation of America, which views each person as infused with a spirit unbounded by time and space, a manifestation of an omnipotent Creator.

Thank you for taking your scanty ideological underclothes off. Part of my motivation is precisely to facilitate such naked revelations.

Project much....TG you are discredited because you called me a name....now let me call you a name....

And if you disagree with him...you are stupid.

Did you hear that everyone. I almost chased away an elite poster. We would lose his wisdom and all the big fancy words and phrases he uses, which never address the point or issue. By his own words he is here to win the hearts and minds of the unwashed on the sidelines.

What a great teaching point. Nobody needs a jack ass "fact checker" / "narrative setters" to save us from common sense.

Your "elite" attitude and persona is exactly what turns most people off.

To be clear.... Nobody on the board is here to debate the merits of Marxism. We are not interested in splitting hairs, for this exercise, the consensus big picture view suffices.

Marxism is a central tenant to BLM. It is in their mission statement. That is the origin of the reference on this thread. That is a fact. If you want dance around what it is or represents, have at it.

But it isn’t in their mission statement at all truly is a derp loophole

Racism is NOT the main factor in determining the success of minorities.

1 parent households, neighborhood gangs, drugs, alcohol, crime and systemic apathy are reasons for keeping them down.

Where was this outrage during the Obama Presidency? He did nothing for minorities, except give them record unemployment and food stamps.

Trump? Prison reform, record employment, home and businesses ownership for minorities.

The difference between then and now is that media didn't report this then and do all they can to poo poo anything good that is done by Trump

- rrentz

The main difference between then and now is that every president from Ronald Reagan to Barrack Obama were okay going to bed with the media. Trump was not okay with going to bed with the media, even when the media desperately wanted to. In fact, the only thing I like about the Trump presidency is that the media has been forced to critically analyze the president. Wish this was true for the last 30 years as well.

Those comments should be widely and publicly condemned. That is common sense and goes without saying, of course.

But you should understand that this is a disorganized, chaotic movement. There are anarchists there, and middle-aged do-gooders. Some are violent, some are criminals, some are idealistic, some want just a spectacle, many are passionate students. Its a loose umbrella group,a rag tag bunch of people. I know many of them from Philly - many are baristas and people work in cafes, and so on. Nice kids, who are young and idealistic.

Its important to remember that:
1. Many of the things they are protesting are worthy of being listened to.
2. That the political opinions of the BLM leaders have very little to with the bulk of the protestors.
3. That violence and unmasked crowds should be condemned but only a small fraction of the protestors are violent.
4. That Marxism, whether you like it or not, is not particularly relevant to the movement we see.

- PT21

1. Some are definitely worthy but much of it is just to create anarchy and destruction
2. Completely false. BLM leaders as well as other groups such as Antifa are driving the protests. As well as the progressive liberals who are bankrolling the protests and paying organizers as well as protesters to do so.
3. Also false. The majority of the protests are violent and destructive.
4. For the BLM movement, Marxism is completely relevant.

That does not solve the systemically rooted issues of racism in the state.

Good idea though!

There has been plenty of video evidence on the Internet to suggest the contrary. Police have infiltrated the movements and have tried to get them to become violent in order to use brute force against the protesters.

You also forget to mention how the Boogaloo movement and extreme right wing element in the USA has been calling for civil war and they are using this opportunity to do so.

Also what about Trump using police to clear the front of the Whitehouse to get a photo opp with one of the holiest books out there? What was so Christian about that?

Low expectations? I see you've gone with the "I have a few black friends so I know."

Blacks on average earn less money in the same jobs - fact
Blacks on average have a shorter life expectancy - fact
Blacks on average are sentenced longer for the same crimes compared to whites - fact
Blacks on average have a harder time getting good education - fact
Blacks on average have a harder time getting access to good healthcare - fact
the list could go on.....

Still boils down to the same root cause
.

But you go on screaming #maga #deepstate #RedPill #Qwoke - Its the Libs and Dems trying to control you! In reality you're saying, "you're not in their position so why make a change that could make it harder for you!"

Me - I'll continue to support what I believe should be a basic standard for any human.

- InglewoodJack77

You allude to it with the last bolded sentence, but you have to ask the question of "Why?" for all of these points you make. I won't assume what your explanation is for them, but it does no good to scream about all these injustices/inequalities and not investigate the reasons they are present.

If all corporations are after is money and power, then why wouldn't they flood their staffs with minorities and women (considering they make less than white men on average)? Is they implication that they are racist/misogynistic and greedy at the same time? That would seem counterproductive.

Why would I want to dance around something that you obviously know nothing about and further, have no desire to learn?

There was a theory, after 2016, that condescension and elitism is what caused the debacle.

I have politely considered this possibility in great depth. I truly have. I have rejected it.

I believe people like you need to be stood up to, and exposed. If you hold opinions or act in a particular way, not because of actual knowledge or motivations, or the motivation to learn, but because of the perceived condescension of others, then reasonable minded people should say - this dude is not much of a man.

Is his lot truly who I want to be associated with?

When are you actually going to start exposing him? Maybe you can get someone else to do it because you obviously aren't capable of it.
You don't even realize that you just reinforced his point. It's sad really.

Yeah of course I’m all for people voicing their opinions as long as that doesn’t interfere with my life or anyone else’s. I’m a big believer in doing whatever you want just don’t violate someone else’s rights. That stopped a month and a half ago imo. The message is lost like it often is in these situations and it has devolved into violence, murder, destruction of peoples property, their lives. I’m not ok with that especially where this country was with the pandemic before this all started.

Also, let’s stop with the whole “only a small percentage of the protests are violent” talking point. If there’s 200,000 people protesting around the country at any given time and only 20,000 of them are violent that makes it better? Only a month ago every life mattered we have to socially distance from each other and miraculously the virus doesn’t infect protesters! That is complete, utter, nonsense. I love how some news outlets down play or don’t even broadcast the violence and destruction that is occurring throughout this country right now. If you’re ok with that cool man. I won’t change your opinion In fact I won’t even try. All the power to you. If you’re a communist and support a commie organization like BLM also great. Good for you, God speed. Wish you the best. As soon as you start destroying stuff and hurting others that’s where the problem lies and that is what has been and is still occurring and if you don’t believe that and it’s only a “small percentage” then just keep living in that bubble I’m sure it’s a real nice place.

Majority of the protesters are wearing masks.

Majority of the people at Trump's indoor campaign wee not!

Masks save lives!
