I say the same thing in the Canucks thread.

to be honest though if you're sad that the team you're technically cheering for is winning I find it's kind of pathetic. you want a winning mentality, and if your team is winning you should be happy.

especially after all these months of nothing but poop I want to enjoy watching hockey 100% and see the habs win lol

I'm not sad that my team is winning (tied), but I believe there's a much better chance they land the first overall pick than win it all. I would bet most Habs fans also feel that way deep inside.

As a young team, I understand the experience gained by making a run. I doubt that outweighs a franchise player, even if the odds are only 1/8. One and done? A complete waste.

Habs showed alot of heart tonight. Down 3-1 and come back to win 4-3. Habs fans should be proud of their team! I'm not a Habs fan but I'm happy they won! (frank) the Pens! Now finish them off! 👍😊

yeah I understand both sides and I'm still having inner arguments about it...

still, even if it's a 3 out of 5, I consider this series as a 1st round, and that would mean the kids would be getting at least 2 rounds of playoff experience

While true, giving Crosby the potential best winger in his career to mold for the next few years to take over doesn't appeal to me.

Just think. Back in January Laffy likely thought he'd be a Red Wing playing for a bottom feeder. Now he has a chance of playing in Pittsburgh, Edmonton or maybe even Toronto. Playing with guys like Crosby, Malkin, McJesus, Draisaitl, Matthews or Tavares.
