the only reason you are so sensitive about Lundqvist criticism is because you fight with Devil fans all the time about who was better Lundqvist and Brodeur and Brodeur was still good at 38 years old.
- jimbro83

Broduer was still good at 38??? what have you boys been up to since I've been gone?

1) Past performance against Carolina.
2) Playoff history.
3) Recent play since restart camp.

Come on. You know all these things as well as anyone. You're just angry right now.

Brodeur won the Jennings at 38 years old and led the league in minutes played and shutouts

so I'd say yeah

he's too busy trying to jam the words "Candy Canes" as many times as he can into an article to actually do any reporting.

I am really not that angry at all, I am more annoyed that we can't have a reasonable hockey discussion here

Vin is about to come in here and accuse me of always hating Lundqvist since 2005 now because I think it was crazy to suddenly throw a 38 year old into August 1st pressure cooker games because of how good he was in 2013

- jimbro83

Jim, every report out of their restart camp stated that Lundqvist was looking really good. This is not a conspiracy. Shesty would have started if healthy, I don't think anyone is trying to say otherwise.
Given his dominant history and looking good over the last month, Hank was the right call. Early goals aside, he shut the door for the most part and the offense did NOTHING to take that and turn it into some momentum.
That is not on him.
Should he start game 3? No. Obviously, Quinn has to try and spark them with a different dynamic. But, there was no reason to suspect what we've seen before the puck dropped each game.

Seriously how about we all just agree to disagree? Hank should have made a couple of those saves, but the team has absolutely SUCKED too. The ONLY player that deserves no blame is Georgiev.

TJ, he did give up a mildly weak goal to Slavin, but was excellent in Game 1. He started because of his mark against Carolina and playoff history. I pointed out that he didn't play well yesterday and there is no conspiracy why he started. I noted in the blog I would go with Igor or Georgiev today. Can we attempt not to cannibalize each other?

You cleverly left out that playoff performance 1-4 3.01 GAA and an .881 sv%

the point though is that is why Vin gets particularly sensitive about Hank criticism is that he lives in Jersey and fights with Devils fans all the time about Hank vs Brodeur

I know, because I used to join in all the time and help him out

My problem is with vin. No one else. He’s worse then any troll that visits your page Jan

I’ve said for two days, Hank kept them
In game one and cost them game two. And this is somehow not a fair assessment

TJ, he didn't help, unsure I would say cost. Their D and poor zone exits didn't help. Watch what led to the second power play, Trouba didn't handle the puck well and resulted in it staying in the zone. On the third goal, horrible play by ADA. That pattern of play has been the killer.

look I know how much you love Lundqvist, and I have defended him over the years even more than you, more than anyone I know, but you are going to have to accept that the fact that's its a shame he got old

Vin can definitely go off the deep end sometimes and I'm sure he will be the 1st to admit it

I don't see anything he is saying as irrational, if anything his argument makes more sense than the people who "only" want to blame Hank. He is saying while Hank wasn't very good last game there are 18 other players on the ice and yet they somehow escape criticism for playing absolutely awful. Sounds exactly like what I saw the last 2 games

People don’t get the point. I’m not explaining it anymore haha

I’m out for the summer. I admit when vin sets me off it’s not good, I’ll come back when I’m calm.

He was 3-0 against them this season in which he stole all 3 games but that's irrelevant because Georgiev started March 13th or whatever, I feel insane for seeing the obvious reasons why he started and the bigger reasons we're down 0-2, the argument is literally insane, somehow Brodeur even got in the convo, I'm not even sure how

I haven't had any issue with what he's posted. You just seem really triggered and set off by him for some reason.
