Not my opinion - looked to me to be an unlucky outcome for an otherwise ordinary hockey play
- Scoob

Reasonable and knowledgeable folks can disagree, like Bill and you. Certainly it is not clear cut.

But here is my rationale, based on vid:
https://videos.files.word...y_final1596425830_dvd.mp4

In the first few frames, at about the 0.5 sec mark, you will see Lauzon take a very wide stance. He is either going for a big hit, or a boarding where he drives R to the wall or a...slew foot. He is no longer playing the puck.
You will see Raffl, who is well balanced, suddenly start to lose his right edge. That is because Lauzon's left knee is pressing against back of R's right knee and thigh. Intentional? I think, but not vehement about it.
Raffl starts to lose his balance, and L's left skate helps him further down. Intentional? Again...

Your honor, I rest my case.

Just trying to help again.... 3 possibilities.

1. He/they is/are insulting you and keeps insulting you when you respond.
2. He/they are trolling you.
3. It has nothing to do with you.

For each of the 3 possibilities, it seems the best response is just to ignore it, no? For 1, if that's the case, you have responded many times and it does not seem it has changed. For 2, don't feed the troll. 3: self evident.

Again, how you respond is your business. Just my well-intentioned take.

Mr. 21, that is a lucid, well thought-out, intelligent post.

Overruled.

lol

Sure, it's open to interpretation. If I don't see something egregious, or even possibly egregious, in real speed I am inclined to stay away from slow-motion analysis. I like to find the bad guy as much as anyone but sometimes there just isn't one.

Hey, I'm open to the possibility that I'm wrong on this one. I hadn't even finished my first cup of coffee when I read those posts.

You rested a very bad case. Raffle wasn't well balanced at all. His skates were already starting to come from under him before contact was even made. You can see his skate hit a rut and jump. Based on that video, it's not a slew foot or an intent to injure play. You're wrong that he wasn't playing the puck. Simply a hockey play gone bad. Both players racing at a high speed to a puck along the wall coming to hard hockey stop. Doesn't take much contact to knock a player off his skates on that play. Based on that replay, not even worthy of a penalty. Just unfortunate.

Weirder than an entire group of grown men coming on to a web site to (frank) with a faceless stranger in the defense of a millionaire hockey player?

I act the way I do in defense of myself. Why you guys act the way you do, I can’t wrap my head around.

Nah, the world revolves around the dude who cut me off this morning by making a left turn the second the light turned green. Clearly a very important individual with important places to be.

They could win the whole thing. Or also bow out in the next two games without scoring a goal. Obvious range of outcomes I know, but hey

With what happened with TB last year, isn't every team beatable? With that being said, Pittsburgh still has Crosby and Malkin.
