Because I'm a bad person, I really enjoy listening to Mike Milbury sound glum while analyzing a poor Bruins performance.

Mike would sound glum if he was holding a winning lottery ticket and got a call that he's being sent on all-expense-paid trip to the ABC Islands. He'd gripe about the taxes owed on the lottery winnings and that he's not a beach person.

Good game and all the new additions coming into the season have worked out well. I've always been a fan of NISK. My son asked me about AMAC for some reason last night, at the same time NISK was stepping up at the blue line and breaking up a play. Funny how different the D is now, all the waiting for the NEW D

Braun, I was good with trade initially, slight over pay but felt like if he fit it would be worth it. Watching him last night, he makes the tough plays, the take a hit to make a play kind of plays. If he can maintain he is a valuable playoff D man.

My own "shut up Milbury" moment came when they were showing Patrice Bergeron, who Milbury called "one of the best faceoff man in hockey" being repeatedly beaten by Giroux and Couturier without mentioning they are even better faceoff men.

The guy needs to be beaten with his own shoe one of these days.

Absolutely. I am confident in this team. Hasn't been that way in a really long time.
- mickel25

Only team that worries me is Tampa. They just seem to have our number. But they will not be playing at home so who knows. Besides that I feel we can match up against any other team.

Looks like Farabee is in Thursday. Hopefully Raffl isn’t too banged up, but good opportunity for Farabee.

I think the Pens will still win their series against Montreal. The Rags are toast tho.
Carolina looks damn good. And they are going to get Dougie Hamilton back.

Flyers played a solid game yesterday, one game in already down a depth playerr in Raffl. Not ideal. But this franchise gets crippled by injuries every playoff year. Prob will have Bunnaman and Adnreoff in the lineup by the time the first round starts.

I couldn't stand how he kept saying that Halak "had no chance" on the Flyers goals. I think that phrase is way over-used in general, but using it yesterday for all those snipes was completely ridiculous IMO. Yes, they were great, perfectly placed shots, but that doesn't mean the goalie had "no chance". He had a perfect chance to make a save, and simply got beat by a laser.
I'm not saying that you can pin those goals completely on Halak. Some blame goes to the D for giving up those looks, and obviously credit goes to the shooter for execution. But Milbury claiming Halak had no chance is flat out wrong. One-time tap in goals at the side of the net, or a rebound goal after making 3 sprawling saves and your D doesn't clear the porch are examples of having "no chance." Rant over

Well on the Thompson goal, he was screened and didn't see it. It was well placed but the shot didn't have a lot on it. If could've seen it, he would've stopped it easily. The Myers shot was also well placed but Halik lost his net and didn't play his angle well opening up the net.

I’m honestly not sure. But I haven’t seen the slightest indication the league is checking the hit out

If the league determines that it wasnt a slew foot they don't have to review it, do they?

Imo it was a Slew foot. On top of this, the game was over. It was clear we were winning. That further adds to my belief this bumhole had intent to hurt Raffl.
