If you’re ever in New England:

Tree House
Hill Farmstead
Trillium
Tilted Barn
Alchemist

To be continued. PM for more if you want.

You won’t see Stream Whistle anywhere on there. Yeah, that’s right.

Just go to Tree House then. It’s arguably one of the best breweries in the world. It’s about an hour and a half outside of Boston.

The caveat is that you better have a taste for IPAs or you won't appreciate it as much as you should.

You bet!

You'll notice my affection for sours. They really start to grow on you if you give 'em half the chance.

The only player change I could think of would be to possibly bring in Sandin. I don’t think they’d ever change Ceci but he and a few others were often really slow retrieving pucks and making plays which allowed CBJ forwards time on the forecheck. Sandin is really good at making quick smart plays under pressure to get the puck moving out of our end.
- Canada Cup

I like Robertson and thought he played okay for a first game but CBJ is a hard team to create offense against, and I'm not sure he's ready for it. He didn't look out of place but the style goes against him pretty heavily. Engvall isn't a world beater and the difference wouldn't be significant, but he's a big body that can cycle well. I would like to see him get a shot.

Tree house stouts are possibly better than their IPAs

BTW, Howard Berger is still going on about how no one cares about this and how it's not a real playoffs.
Someone tell him the ratings #'s...

Hey Rodger at least you won’t lose in the first round this year

I haven't actually tried any of their stouts before but will definitely make it a priority -- if and when I can get out to New England again for another beer pilgrimage.

Honestly I think our entire right side was horrific tonight, and that's dangerous. A coach like torts will expose that all day.

I'm not sure plunking a kid in and forcing someone to their off side is going to be the answer... But I can't so it won't be better?

I got hope for Holl. I think maybe there's some ring rust there and it'll fade in a hurry. Ceci and Barrie are disasters and Barrie is already being as limited as he can be.

Rielly looks back.. I would have him replace Barrie on PP1... As the PP hasn't really done anything to show it should be relied upon as is so far I know only one chance tonight but with the exhibition game its a big enough sample period for me to make the switch in a 5 game series.

That, and find a way to get Ceci away from rielly. He should not have anything close to top pairing minutes. We've already been down this road and there's a reason it has to change the first time...

Highly recommend it. Their stouts on tap at the brewery are not canned either. You can’t buy them other than on draft, on site.

I'd be shocked if Engvall saw any action. I think Robertson gets another look -- he's gritty and has a nose for the net. If Nick is in the press box you gotta think AJ is ready to return.

6-0 was embarrassing
- Canada Cup

I did watch the entire game and I do realize they lost 2-0 and one was an empty netter. My comment shouldn't be construed as they played horrific, but they also didn't play well. Sorry... They didn't... And they accomplished that as a group.

I don’t think we’re going to out cycle Columbus. Robertson had the only real scoring chance other than AM and I thought at times that line outplayed CBJ.

They’re going to have to figure out how to play high skill at speed to beat these guys. That’s hard to do after being off.

Seriously

I would like to clarify. you can get stouts from there that are canned, but they have special ones there that are only on draft. Go for those.

This makes a lot of sense! Though I'd still have Robertson in the lineup over Engvall upon AJ's return.

Robertson had a couple quality chance, forechecked terrificly and won some battles. He didn't look overmatched at all. He looked like he belonged.

No, shouldn't be relying on the cycle game against these guys..

At the least I hope there is an added focus on springing a guy while their D is pinching. They pinched on us all game, which I honestly did not see coming from a Tortorella coached team against a team like TO who loves to stretch the puck. There's no way that should fly...

I’m just choosing this post to quote. How do you know about these Mass breweries? Most times when I talk to people not from New England, they laugh when I say we have some of the best breweries and just go HAHA BUD LIGHT! So ridiculous

Perhaps I should have said 'no one's complaining about him'.

Any one of us should be expecting more of Tavares than Marner, Willie... Even Matthews. Yet it's the kids getting the heat. 🤷‍♂️

Fact, none of them were incredible tonight. Also fact... It was one game.

For sure! That's always the strategy when hitting up breweries: crush the draft-only beers and buy the bottled/canned stuff for a rainy day. Thanks for the recommends!

Would love to get back down to that area next year... assuming the world has returned to some normalcy (I'm not convinced).

I'd go Clifford, spezza, Engvall. I see the BJ's trying to bully our guys over the course of the series. They will have to be told to (frank) off at some point.

Gauthier is useless.

Leafs had No shots last 6 minutes.

Thinking the could use a guy like Roussell.

Yes lose game #2 and I'll be back to booking tee times pretty quick.
