Torts gets more out of his guys than just about anybody I’ve ever seen...

I said this couple weeks ago you know the way they’re going to play they are not gonna deviate from the torts plan ... not one bit.

- dozerD10

Torts & Trotz are the best at getting the most outta their players. Why others cannot is on the players who don’t buy in or simply don’t get it.

What’s toronto supposed to bang with?

4 forwards make over 40 mill...mostly AHL calibre forwards for the remainder...they don’t develop their own defense so they have to pay a sht load of money to gramps muzzin.

Completely horrible allocation of cap.

Next time...probably shouldn’t higher a 10th grader to be the GM.

If you’re not old enough to play at the arcade without parental supervision...then you are probably too young to run hockey ops of an NHL organization.

Just sayin’...

It reminded me of the last 3 games of last year's playoffs where the Bizarro version of Marner inexplicably made unwanted appearances.

The guy hates Nylander and blames him for everything. Marner was crap tonight. I guess the 2018 playoffs were a fluke...
- Steven_Seagull

They're both great players, both are still kids... And we are lucky to have both play for the team. It shouldn't be a debate about only one of the two being good...

That being said, Marner wasn't good tonight. He was a turnover machine, poor decisions, poor effort... He just gets into these funks sometimes where he seems to think his talent will do it for him and he doesn't want to work for it.

I liked Willie with Tavares and Marner with Matthews better to begin with.

He literally broke up a pass to an empty net to save the game.

It’s crazy how Willy can do no wrong, and after very loss is always Marners fault.

- Arctic_AARDVARK

HE blocked a pass to save a game in a 1-0 game that ended 2-0. Saving the game may want to rethink the wording

Marner sucked tonight

I was actually pretty impressed with AM34's puck control and balance while CBJ d-men were trying to manhandle him along the boards.

Any criticism of Matthews's game tonight is (frank)ing bullpoop.

Jones Werenski were awesome tonight.

Build from the net out, we are built the total opposite. I like our team but 1/2 the fans have been saying this for 2 years now.

Leafs in 5

People have a hate on for marner too which is equally as ridiculous. They're both good players that are capable of being difference makers and also capable of having bad games, and even bad strings of games. But everybody needs a scapegoat and when you get shut out, you go after the offensive guys.
- UsernameUnknown

Oh I fully blame Andersen on this loss.

Yes he made great saves and was good.

But he also let in a weak ass goal that stunk up the game.

Not wanting to debate it... But fact of the matter is, you're right. He did... But he only was put in the situation he had to do that because he gave the puck to absolutely no one with the net empty... .

Marner also killed possession in the last 5 mins by throwing pucks with “sauce” into empty corners allowing easy clears by clb.

Dear Mike Babcock,

We are sorry, you were correct.
Defense is in fact still important in today’s NHL.

Please forgive us

Fancy passing doesn't work when there's 4 jackets in front of their goalie.
Marner and all the wingers gotta shoot the puck and get dirty goals via deflection and rebounds. Take advantage of the traffic.
