I don't think he was trying to end his career. But I do believe he intended to do "something." Tkachuk has a long history of doing alot of "something's." He walks that line which buys him time and space on the ice. - gergeswillems
That I buy. I just distinguish a scumbaggy something which is a hit from an attempt to cut which I see as knowing you are putting someone’s career in jeopardy.

Coaches dont play the games. They didnt lose because of coaching. - Fakepartofme
It can happen, because the coach determines who goes on the ice. Which players dress. Etc
I wouldnt ever say a team lost solely because of a coach but sometimes the coach can play a big part of why a team isnt successful. Blues went from dead last to cup winners after a coaching change. It does impact a teams success or lack of.
Regardless of what you think of Tkachuk, I find it hard to believe any player would do that intentionally. They do a lot of (frank)ed up stuff, but a skate blade to what looked like the Achilles? I like to think there is a line and that would be so far and above beyond that line. - RickJames77
I don’t think he went in for the hit planning to do this, but when Scheifele quickly turns away...... the only option left to make contact was to give the ankle a little kick in order to slow him down
It is a fast game and these are split second decisions which sometimes have these types of outcomes
Nice. Gumbo (chicken, shrimp, sausage) with Savanah red rice and a pear blueberry pie with streusel topping. This is my second pie. First one was a weird egg cornmeal pie which ok but unusual. - Canada Cup
My cousins are all from Louisiana and I've had enough Gumbo for 3 lifetimes.. along with Jambalaya ... and Paella .. which are all different variations of the same family of dishes.

So basically they could win the Cup and still be underdogs because defense. - Canada Cup
When the Leafs win the Cup this year there's still going to be trolls trolling away oblivious to the fact that their bloviating has been relegated obsolete and completely disproven.
Kind of like that scene from Airplane II: The Sequel where Shatner is still guiding the shuttle down despite its having already landed with passengers safely disembarking.

I wonder if he's venturing into the Raffi Torres neighborhood with these incidents..
each one getting a little worse ... and then bang the career ender.

The key is to rent a chalet instead of getting hotel rooms.
Pushes you all together. - Atomic Wedgie
We always did hotel rooms, but yeah, a chalet instead would be awesome. I totally forgot we were in ‘Rona times for a bit there. I’ll have to put any idea of that off until 2022

$700 for a farm house near Tremblant village for the winter (in 1973 or 4 or something).
UI ski team. Skied Monday to Friday when the car made it up the hill. Brought my lunch and two joints every day. Met my first wife going up the chairlift. She was at the Lodge with her family, went back to NYC after their week and then ran away from home to join me.

Coaches have an impact, sure. If they didnt, their position wouldnt exist.
As for the blues, ummm im sure the goalie change had a much bigger impact on the change from last to cul winners.

Whatever Kadri does in his game will warrant two suspensions to the Leafs. Kerfoot and Barrie, it’s been real, you’ve been evicted from the bubble. - RickJames77
That plus the Florida Panthers will have no power plays in the play in. Islanders and Bruins are not allowed to be penalized.
