He's not a "face of the game" or a "generational player" who also get a lot of press and face time simply because they have one of those titles. So there must be something else about him.

I rarely to never would read other team blogs. I had no clue who "Tanner" was till a few weeks ago. Now because of Covid, I am always online, and I suddenly became aware of this apparent phenom.

He is/was the Coyotes blogger on this site, apparently very controversial, because he would often write about politics and would mix it up with his readers. Whatever.
