Somehow I don’t recall Marx commenting on the Blackhawk logo, but I may have missed it somehow.... - StLBravesFan
I think he mentions it during the Monty Python Communist Quiz skit.

This is not a good thing. - Elbows15
Come on 'Bows, Special K had a good showing last night. He played quite well on the PK and didn't embarrass himself in his own end. For a bottom pairing guy, that's a win.
Him getting the most ice time is a great thing for an exhibition game. Everyone else got their feet wet and didn't get overextended.
I do agree that Carlsson looks very good and likely is better than Koekkoek. He is very adept at knowing when to jump into the play to be in place for a quality chance. I'd like for him to be a little cleaner coming out of his own end, but I'm not going to be down on a guy with 10 games experience. |

Charting Hockey has their Bubble Playoff Predictor out, and they're looking for some upsets.
TOR over CLB in 5
MTL over PIT in 5
FLA over NYI in 4
CAR over NYR in 4
CGY over WPG in 5
EDM over CHI in 5
MIN over VAN in 4
ARI over NSH in 4
The Blackhawk - Oiler series is a coin flip. EDM is at 50.11% to win, Hawks at 49.89%
Some of Sean's comments:
-WPG's 5v5 play is horrid, so CLG is favored, but Hellebuyck exists
-CHI vs. EDM will be so fun to watch, edge to EDM's star power
-MIN is a really good team that just needs some (any) saves
-I just don't trust NSH this year |

OK - fine - if we're Hawks fans, we should want them to win ANY tournament.
And - you still have 4 rounds of best-of-7 game series PLUS an additional round to play for the win - seems to me that's a good tournament (since the Stanley Cup Playoffs are "only" a tournament anyways).
Wanted your team to lose anything is the same as tanking: not very sporting, not very fan-like. - StLBravesFan
I didn't say "Tank" I said play the kids rest the vets and I would like a better draft choice for the next "real season."

That’s tanking - the definition of it - not putting your best team or effort out there in the hopes (12 1/2 % chance) of getting something for the future. |

You just validated my point that chicago is bowing to the cancel culture. And like I said we live in a free country hate speech is also excepted as the us supreme court has upheld. You may agree with things or not but you have a choice to not buy something or listen but my point goes back to where does it end ? Nobody here can say after a headband is banned it stops , remember your dealing with fringe people that if given a pinch will keep coming. Until people speak up and say cancel the cancel culture.
That's my point. You and I may disagree on ethics but something that has been around for more years than. You and i have been alive with nobody screaming to ban it , now people have become infected with a marxist move.
To those who think this shouldn't be talked about , the hawks made that choice i thought this board was a opportunity to discuss things even if its political to some regarding rocky's banning decision? - Taylorst1
Here is a novel thought for you. Have you ever thought maybe some things need to be cancelled? |

Considering there will be injuries, I think Sikura will be a welcome addition to the team when needed, on a lower line. If asked to play above that, there will likely be issues.
Overall, Caggiula has proven to be a more reliable player so you ride with him. He was a bit of a mess, but it was one exhibition game. I'll go with the body of work over the single data point. Not to mention, Colliton is not exactly averse to changing lineups.
I say we all grab some popcorn and enjoy this strange ride. - Chunk
Kinda my point. It was an exhibition game. Give it a shot. You just might find something. LBH. Caggs isn't a part of the team next season. Sikura's contract will give him a shot if nothing else.
I like Caggs. He was having an off night so why not try something. The couple of shifts Dach, Dinky and Sikura were together did result in some good zone time and a couple of chances, |

Last I checked America is a free country . If a headband offends you don't wear one or look. But as a show of support for a team it is not offensive in anyway.
I'm sure I could find things you say or wear i don't agree with , should we just start canceling people from existence? I mean where does it end ? Free speech means all speech not politically correct to appease people that's offensive to our freedoms.
What's next Chicago bows to the minority and changes their team name ? Don't say it won't happen look at the Redskins.
I just think people need to calm down - Taylorst1

Losing breeds losing. Look at Buffalo and Edmonton. You get nice draft choices but no leaders to show the way and players get thrust into roles they aren't quite ready to handle. |

I find it amazing that virtually all of our young D (that have played in the NHL so far) seem to be more adept at D than Gus was at any point regardless of their particular prowess. |

Ahhh, political bickering - the lifeblood of hockey message boards, or so it would appear. The notion that perhaps some things should be cancelled seems reasonable. I know I could get behind cancelling political discussions on this hockey site. Wouldn't everyone agree? |

Better than the alternative. I'm with you, Special K is not on this team in any fashion next season. The Hawks simply don't have the room for him. |

I find it amazing that except for one good scoring season here - 2018-19 - he never came close to that production in Sweden, in the “A”, amateur or pro.
And yet - people were mesmerized by his offensive skills.
A one-trick piny who performed that trick only once. Ever. Anywhere. |
