It seems like you are the only one upset about it, so maybe you should calm down?

Not really, some just choose to not bring politics into this hockey site.

What did he show last night?

More than Caggiula. I like Caggiula and think he is a better option than Sikura but only because he has more of the Neanderthal gene than Sikura does. Skills I would give the edge to Sikura.

craw better then Subban
matta looks so slow. I m ight consider sitting him.
Kampf is solid but just does not do enough 13 forward
CAGG did look out of sorts, I kept thinking he would get in a rythym and just use his speed but he just never did.
KK led the team in minutes and I barely noticed him so that is a good thing for D.

I like that JC put Kubalik back with Saad and Toews but that did change things for Caggiula who spent all training camp with 20-19 so maybe his off night was related to that(?).

I was talking last night. Caggiula did not have a good game, so it was suggested demote Cags and put Sikura with the third line. But what did he do to deserve being on the third line, if you are only going to look at last nights performance?

Tyler do you know if their is another game before Saturday or was that the only exhibition game they will play ?

Also do you see any tweaks you would make regarding the lines or defensive pairings ?

I thought cat was mia , nylander needs to shoot more and the team looked slow and over matched size wise especially in corners and on breakouts seemed sloppy at times ?

You know, you can download the Blackhawk schedule to the calendar of your iPhone or Android device. The answer is no. Unless the boys get bored in the bubble and decide to challenge another team.

It would be awesome if this was actually possible.

No I'm just tired of this cancel culture mentality, and if people don't speak up more and more of our freedoms will be shutdown.

- Taylorst1

Look at it like this, whether you agree with the headdress banning or not - if you want the Hawks to be able to keep their Indian head logo, you need to take some steps to protect the brand and keep it classy. A bloated white guy hammered on Bud heavy in a full headdress and war paint screaming his lungs off is bad look.

I personally think its the right thing to do ethically, but it's 100% the right thing to do stay off the front page of the newspaper, for the wrong reason.

Just an observation. Obviously, it's best to go for the chance at #1. However, the Hawks looked like the old hawks. PK was solid. 2 Strong lines. Dach, Kubs looked great.

If they keep this play up, I think they have a chance to come out of the West. The east is much tougher this year. West is pretty weak. Blues or Vegas should come out of the West, but today's game has me thinking otherwise...

And no the Avs are pretenders.

OK - fine - if we're Hawks fans, we should want them to win ANY tournament.

And - you still have 4 rounds of best-of-7 game series PLUS an additional round to play for the win - seems to me that's a good tournament (since the Stanley Cup Playoffs are "only" a tournament anyways).

Wanted your team to lose anything is the same as tanking: not very sporting, not very fan-like.

What are you talking about. I'm so happy hockey is back and the games look good so far. It may be a tournament format to start, but it's a real cup and will be tough to win as usual.
Don't watch then and join all the other negative people in this world. I could not be happier that hockey is back and appreciate these players and NHL for giving us fans something to cheer for.

I almost consider this like the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. Not really NHL, but still hockey and the tournament matters to the players. The good news is that it doesn't interfere with the actual NHL season (it is part of it).

That he can stay on his feet. Caggs was a mess last night. Plus Dinky and Dach were pretty invisible 5 on 5. Just to try something in a meaningless game. Sikura can carry the puck and that line was struggling with that last night.

I wouldn't mind having Sikura play with Dach and DeBrincat. Like you said, he can carry the puck and generate offense while also being reliable defensively.

Sikura is willing to go into the corners and boards to fish out pucks as much as DeBrincat and Caggiula. He's not contact averse like people think he is.

Also, Sikura has vastly improved in knowing where he needs to be on the ice so he's supporting the team no matter where the play is.

You just validated my point that chicago is bowing to the cancel culture. And like I said we live in a free country hate speech is also excepted as the us supreme court has upheld. You may agree with things or not but you have a choice to not buy something or listen but my point goes back to where does it end ? Nobody here can say after a headband is banned it stops , remember your dealing with fringe people that if given a pinch will keep coming. Until people speak up and say cancel the cancel culture.

That's my point. You and I may disagree on ethics but something that has been around for more years than. You and i have been alive with nobody screaming to ban it , now people have become infected with a marxist move.

To those who think this shouldn't be talked about , the hawks made that choice i thought this board was a opportunity to discuss things even if its political to some regarding rocky's banning decision?

Lone Ranger: We’re surrounded by Indians on the warpath, Tonto - we can’t escape.

Tonto: What you mean “we”, white man....

Somehow I don’t recall Marx commenting on the Blackhawk logo, but I may have missed it somehow....

I understand; that is a tough one. I suggested a re-write of that, but Uncle Karl was a stubborn fellow about certain things.

Considering there will be injuries, I think Sikura will be a welcome addition to the team when needed, on a lower line. If asked to play above that, there will likely be issues.

Overall, Caggiula has proven to be a more reliable player so you ride with him. He was a bit of a mess, but it was one exhibition game. I'll go with the body of work over the single data point. Not to mention, Colliton is not exactly averse to changing lineups.

I say we all grab some popcorn and enjoy this strange ride.
