If you are talking about that study in the lancet it was debunked and the doctors who did the study retracted themselves. They use it in Quebec hospital notably at the Jewish for covid patients

No studies have been done to say it can be a widely used cure, however,

The Mahidol Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU) is conducting mass clinical trials and has enrolled 40,000 frontline workers in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America, giving participants either chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine or a placebo.

Professor Sir Nick White, who's leading the trial, said: "Most experts agree there is a much better chance of benefit in prevention than treatment."

This study is able to resume after being placed on hold following the fallout from The Lancet's retracted study.

There haven't yet been results from this or other ongoing randomised studies on the drugs as a preventative treatment.

Anecdotes don't mean much. Trump quoting the woman who believes in demon sperm causing medical issues, alien DNA being used to create medicines and that vaccines are used to make people no longer religious and much more, doesn't help his cause promoting a drug the majority of the respected medical community won't back

Combined with azithromycin it has been proven to work agaisnt other sorts of coronavirus but since it's a new virus they haven't had time to do proper investigations but if you are critically ill I would take it.

It's just funny because when that botched study was published in the Lancet the media were all over it cause hey, (frank) Trump. But when it was proven worthless, not one word..
