they are building a decent prospect pool but it totally lacks tier 1 "star" potential.
- Symba007

well then the prospect pool is = an NHL team that has a some decent players but no stars or high impact contributors.

yup, built to be average...again

Unless guys develop into tier one players but outside of the scoring midget, no tier 1 stars. Habs desperately need Lafreniere

They do and I don't think Lafreniere is a Crosby, McDavid, McKinnon ect.

While definitely a nice piece to add, he is not a saviour. We have seen time and time again teams that draft much better players than Lafreniere struggle because of a lack of depth and additional talent.

This team has too many bottom 6 depth players, currently playing top 6 roles.

1 player is not gonna fix this mess.

Well for once we have a couple of options at center, think he could do well with Danault or Suzuki

I never said he would not do well.

I said 1 player won't help this team be a contender, unless that 1 player can play 60 minutes a game as an elite left D.

A Lafrenière - Suzuki - Gallagher line could be good. Replace Gallagher with Caufield in a few years.

Like most elite 1st overall guys, there really isn't a great comp for him. He's the feistiest 1st overall forward since OV.
