Gotta go with what sells. Tanner's product sells, cheap and shoddy as it is.

Look at the kind of stories (besides COVID) that make the news and generate talk. It's usually negative/controversial stuff that sells. If you have a very vanilla blog about the Coyotes, it would be good journalism but may generate 6 hits on a good day. Write a "Coyotes" blog that is nothing but controversial hate mongering, you get a lot more.
