He lashed out at everyone (the Coyotes, the NHL, Peter Chiarelli, half a dozen other former GMs and even us readers)... everyone except the guy who unprofessionally quit on his team at the worst possible moment (just before the playoffs).

I and many others take it as a personal insult that he does this daily all the while not being held to the same standards that all of us are held to by EKs Code of conduct. His conduct therefore must be called out by the readers on Hockeybuzz., With a little fun sprinkled in at Tanner's expense, of course

Yost scratched the surface, but TSN won't allow a long dissertation. Kuemper was a great move. The price for Raanta was steep. Kessel was a joke the moment it was announced. If you want a laugh, go to the archives and find Tanner's initial take. He loved it. I said Kessel was washed up. Right again. Chayka's drafting was mediocre. He got killed on trades - Domi for Galchenyuk anyone? Yost didn't have the space to get into the awful talent evaluation for Keller and Schmaltz. And then finally, Chayka's very poor use of cap space. Look at how Carolina added Teravainen for taking on a bad contract. Then added an extra 1st for Marleau. That's a good example of exploiting the cap. What did Chayka get? Not much. He gets a D from me. Tanner thinks it's an A, with the elusive A+ rating reserved only for Kyle Dubas.

I totally agree. I don't usually comment on Tanner's blogs - they speak for themselves and the 99% of the hockey community (including fans) who are more intelligent than he is can see through his writing.

The other one is Garth (and I am glad he is back!) but he is not offensive. He just has funny delusions.

All the rest of the writers are good, at least the ones I regularly read. I may not always agree with their blogs but they are at least good, intelligent blogs that make good points and make for interesting reading.

It really is unbelievable.
Hopefully, this circus is the end of Tanner here, just as it's gone for his boy wonder in AZ.

That said, Tanner's delusional rants over the past few months have probably generated more hits than most other legit blogs, so Ek needed him. Now that there are actual games to talk about, his services aren't needed as much.

Bingo. I'm not defending him, but someone's gotta pay the bills, and getting a handful of clicks and comments on a Ducks, Sharks, or Preds blog isn't going to do that, so unless/until people stop clicking there probably won't be any changes.
