Only one of these 2 is correct, IMO. |

It appears that Tanner edited out his comment about the analytics community thinking that Chayka's moves were insane. That's one way to avoid answering the requests to explain specifically what he was referring to. |

Gutless. Pathetic. Owned, once again.
He defended virtually every single thing Chayka ever did. Not once did I ever hear any criticism from an analytics perspective (ie. Chayka just did this, but based on my assessment from an analytics perspective, this really doesn't make any sense??). Not once. Zero. Everything Chayka did was brilliant. Dubas too. But as soon as the guy fails, well, yeah, he wasn't really a good representation of Analytics. Most people who REALLY know Analytics thought Chayka was insane. Sure. Got it.

Tanner has openly admitted he doesn't fully understand the stats but reads from people who apparently do. That says it all. Not like he would take the time to learn the stats and how to use them. He'll take the word of an expert while telling you that appealing to experts is a logical fallacy. It's pretty funny how little self respect he has |

It really is unbelievable.
Hopefully, this circus is the end of Tanner here, just as it's gone for his boy wonder in AZ.

Maybe he didn't like me asking questions about Chayka's long-term contracts. Tanner defended each of them, without ever assessing whether those specific players were the right buys to bet on. |
|
|
|
Pulled his last blog down. Tanner rarely whiffs on an opportunity to stand his ground when his antics are called out; maybe this one was too painful for even him to defend? Or did he forget a ‘90s video or the degrading political reference? |

It's funny how much he and Chayka seem to be alike. Maybe Tanner will suddenly clean out his office and Yotes fans will get another blogger. They don't deserve to endure everything that's happening with their team and this. That's just cruel.

For a guy that’s always pretty cocky with his replies I’m actually surprised that he wouldn’t stand by something he’s written. It’s not like he was drawing any more criticism than normal. |

He said he was embarassed for me because I was making comments and he was having a good laugh at my expense. So the usual personal insults rather than answer a hockey question. The Coyotes are playing in a few days. He hasn't reported what the lines are. He didn't dig into the story of Kessel being yanked off the PP and demoted to the 4th line - permanent or just sending a message? Coyotes fans get no insight here.

The biggest takeaway from all of this is he will still lack the self-awareness and personal responsibility to realize or admit that he brought this all on himself. It's no longer "the 5 guys" who are fed up with this derangement; it's 5 guys who actually still encourage it. When you hurl empty and ignorant projections of your own shortcomings at everyone around you, rely on an air of entitlement to protect your paper-thin self-loathing and refuse to demonstrate any competence in the work or social causes you pretend to stand up for - well there is no other possible outcome than the one we are witnessing. There is still hope that growth and character-building can come from this, or perhaps he will sink further into the cynical abyss of his notes from the underground. Best of luck to you on your life journey! |

You know I have not read a Tanner blog in sometime and I decided to look at this post and see if he has changed his ways and decided to add some value to this site....clearly nothing has changed. I think I'll go back to simply passing right by this guys blogs.....Man what a waste of space. |
