Good God.
I have friends who are Leaf fans that wouldn't wipe their ass with that "article" if I handed it to them.
I'll stick with Kreider and Panarin, thanks. - Tonybere
It would be so much easier if Jimmy actually watched the games. He embarrasses all Leaf fans. |

When are you going to start blogging for the Jets?
At least Jets blogs have Jets fans posting on them. I do not think I have seen a Coyotes fan comment on your blogs. - TheUltimateJet
I'd rather be blogless....in fact I would prefer Rexie to Tanner....

I'm convinced his hockey "knowledge" comes from doing be a GM Sims on a year old version of NHL. The one you buy in the bargain bin for $5 - leafsfann
The old version is so hip. |

Well according to Jimmy, the Leafs have assembled the NHL's best roster...

So Andreas Johnsson is the secret weapon that nobody knows about? The secret guy that produces at a 1st line level, without people realizing it?
Hmm, sounds awful lot like a candidate for the teams most underrated player. But yesterday that was reserved for Kerfoot, who is ELITE defensively. The hockey knowledge is just astounding! |

Jimmy also said that Kerfoot is one of the fastest skaters in the NHL. He's not even the fastest skater on his own team. Astounding indeed.
It's very hard for any player to come off an injury like Johnsson had and pick up where he left off. But I guess you can't get that information at natural fish sticks dot com. |

I bet Kerfoot's advanced stats say he is one of the fastest skaters in the league. |

You mean the same advanced stats which told Jimmy that Kerfoot is better defensively than Zach Hyman is? Better than 75% of players in the NHL? |

They should change the name of advanced stats to hipster stats. |

Team travel lists of the 52 people headed into the EDM/TOR bubbles are due at 5ET. One name to watch for will be ARIZ GM John Chayka. Club says it is expected he will be included, but there appears to be some degree of uncertainty

Now that's interesting. A GM might not be allowed to attend his team's games? A good team blogger would've caught this. |

Tanner, I’d have had a difficult time conjuring a list. You certainly have a style and era, that’s for sure. We’re gonna disagree on Nick Cage, but c’est la vie
I’m not really sure if I have a top _ list in regards to greatest movies all time. I certainly have a few that I can watch at any time when they’re on. Y’know, they kind you put down the remote when you see that they’re on TV and say “alright, this’ll do”
Godfather and Godfather II, of course
Pulp Fiction
Fargo
Raging Bull
The Deer Hunter
Snatch
The Big Lebowski
Rocky
Goodfellas
Casino
Reservoir Dogs
The Usual Suspects
The Shining
Monty Python - Holy Grail and Life of Brian. Niche picks for sure.
Annie Hall
Rounders
The Departed
Not calling them the best of all time. A few would probably make a fair amount of people’s lists, though. Shawshank would be another, but damn I’ve just seen it too many times.
You rarely find flicks like Seven Samurai, Dr. Strangelove, Yojimbo, and Citizen Kane on TV, but they’re up there for me. I know, I know, Citizen Kane is rather cliché, but it was groundbreaking. Kurosawa definitely influenced western screenwriters as well. |

Hey Jimmy:
I know you are always interested in Chayka stories. Thought you may enjoy this:
https://www.sportsnet.ca/...__twitter_impression=true
Doesn't sound good, no?
Or just melodrama?
Your call, Jimmy. - Atomic Wedgie
Where there's smoke, there's fire. It sounds like Chayka is close to being fired. But Jimmy doesn't care about that. He'd rather rank movies. |

Bill Meltzer would be all over this. But Tanner is probably watching Back to the Future for the 100th time. Is it possible that ownership is tired of Chayka treading water and then embarrassed by his cheating scandal with amateur prospects? Or maybe just Covid? Again, a real pro would report on this. |

Maybe Jimmy and Chayka can call up Doc Emerick and take the DeLorean out for a spin back to 1985. They can rank the top 50 cabbage patch kids during the Stanley Cup Final.
Perhaps the Coyotes have an agreement with Bettman? Fire Chayka and we won't penalize you as much as we were going to? |

I can live with Roenick at #1. Guy was genuinely entertaining to watch and would be in the Hall already if he didn't have a personality. And his numbers would be so much higher if not for that knee from one of the Hatchers. No comment on the movies. Seen maybe 4 of them and no interest in more. Now top 50 books or documentaries... - DarthProbert
Roenick being my favorite player as a kid, mainly from playing the very first few NHL games on Sega. I'm not sure he's got the numbers to be in the Hall. He'd be a shoo-in for the Hall of Very Good. What really holds him back is the fact he never won an individual award. He's had 4 top 10 finishes(I don't count the fact he was 3rd for the Calder; Tyler Myers won the Calder and he doesn't have a chance at the Hall). He finished 5th and 9th for the Selke, and 5th and 10th for the Hart. And if not for the lost season he would've retired and never got to 500 goals. |

Hall negotiating a contract extension without Chayka anywhere to be found happened days ago. But you ignored it. Seems like instead of digging for info on the team you cover...you spent your time watching movies, hurling political insults, and writing Maple Leaf articles for your other gig. You haven't reported on training camp. You haven't reported anything about the new Latino President. Nothing. It's almost as if you have no insight whatsoever on this organization. But you are good at reading the boxscores... |
