We looked at one of those. Doesn’t come with a whole lot for what you pay for.
Ended up getting the armada. - bryant
We look at buying used (the cybertruck would be an exception) so we look hard at Japanese, I guess there's a certain amount of price that just goes into the badge on the front though.

Meh.
Although base model of the cybertruck relatively cheap, go for the Rivian R1T. - Fakepartofme
Not so sure about $69K US for a no-name brand rival to the Cybertruck and that price is not even their top of the line. How many authorized dealers do expect to see in Canada in the next couple of years?

Ya my wife used to own a couple of the early 90’ ones and they were pretty cool, but when you’re going to spend 45-70k I was just expecting a lot more.
I love the look of it from the outside though and still do.

Some of those badges are worth paying for others not so much. You have to also remember that the car advertising business is about as deceitful as a Trump campaign ad. Remember VW's claim about the cleanest car on Earth was their diesel?
It has and will continue to be my contention that It will be a mistake to play him. Keefe seems to see this and hopefully acts accordingly..
The Memorial cup and simulated scrimmages and fake games are no indicator of what happens when the lights go up for real on a playoff run. I don't know why people can't see this. - dozerD10

Yeah
Toyotas have lowest average maintenance cost over a 10 year span out of all car brands though, and high resale value tho, which is where I think their badge thing comes from.
TBH we stay away from VW and Audis mainly for the whole monkey gas chamber thing
.... .....and that's only because the new Bronco came out and now I want that too.
Deposits and drinking are my thing but deposits and impatience are my thing too. - underhill14
I hear you man. I’ve bought and paid via emt project cars not even in the same province while drunk. My wife sees it as a problem. I see it as an unexpected stealth camping road trip.
It’s all about perspective
Not realistic. The kid hasn’t earned or proved he’s ready. Let him go through the process & be better for it. His time will come sure enough. There is no need to rush him. Let him tear it up in the AHL or Jr when or if it begins on time or later on. More than enough firepower on the roster as is & other things needing improving to be a contender year to year.

I stay away from VW and Audis as well, the fact that they were "the peoples' car" in the 1930's probably keeps me away, but the gas chamber thing was pretty bad.

Funny you post that. When I saw some of this discussion I was going to post:
Buy a Corolla, pay for it in 3 years, drive it for 10, repeat, retire richer. I don't take that advice myself, but I'm closer to that than a cybertruck
