No one is giving Taylor Hall ‘Panarin Money’. No one. I don’t think he breaks 10M.

I think most fans of teams with those GM’s are going to be happy their teams won’t have the cap room to pull that move.

Whoever said his agent will be looking for panerin money is likely right but unless he wants to play for a basement team he’s not likely to get that. Not only has panerin put up better totals than hall every year but he has done so while staying healthy for virtually every season. Compare that to hall who seems to get injured at some point every year and outside of one MVP season has been more of a first liner than elite superstar, I would think his value would be a couple million less.

Seeing as to how overpaid Jeff skinner was I think that contract would probably be a better comparable for Hall because in my opinion Hall’s a cut above him but still a cut below some of the top wingers in the game who recently signed (panerin, Rantanen, Marner). This all of course before we factor what corona will do to the FA market.

I also wouldn’t be shocked to see Hall pull a Marian Hossa and sign a 1 or 2 year deal with Colorado since until MacKinnon and makar need to be re-upped they’re the only team that could afford it.

A lot of the UFAs might be singing small term deals with the hopes that in a couple years the Cap goes up. If Hall can stay healthy, he can get a monster deal in a couple seasons

It could be interesting. Recent history shows it may be a wiser idea not to sign a 30+ player long term, under current circumstances there’s no telling what a contract could look like for Hall 2-3 years from now. That said I believe under the new CBA they announced they’re scrapping the cap recapture penalty for player who retires before his contract is up. This could see in a spike of long term contracts for veteran players similar to the way things before the last CBA

You could be right with Colorado, the only thing with Hall is he ain't getting any younger. thus covid thing could have hurt his only chance at a long term contract. What he will be 31 or 32 by the time the cap goes back up.

On one hand I agree but on the other hand I also think a bridge deal could be more lucrative for him. If Hall signs long term now that would take him to the age of 35, which who knows what his value will be at that age. Chances are the amount that his new contract is damaged by covid will be close to what an extension will be anyway in 3 years anyways unless he really falls off a cliff. So with that said it could be more lucrative to sign a bridge deal now and sign an contract that will take him to retirement in a few years rather than long term now and a smaller deal in the twilight of his career

That could be right, but what teams can afford that lucrative short term deal, most might not be the most desirable destination right know. Well just like everything else we will have to wait and see, think this off-season might be one of the weirdest.

That's way below Tanner's education level. In order to keep his mind stimulated he needs to talk politics, movies, or music.

Someone who has a reading comprehension problem like you obviously do, should not be making comments like this. I didn't tell you how to do your job. I asked where the updates were. With hockey getting started back up, how can a blogger covering an NHL team not provide updates?

Lastly, I would never personally look down on anyone working at a Wendy's. Anyone working to support themselves and paying taxes and contributing to society instead of being a drain on society deserves respect for it. Making that comment is an indictment on your character. I also know that most people working at Wendy's do their job better than you do at blogging for an NHL team. Not a single camp update since it started.

Yup - zero character, principles or empathy.

Clueless to his racism. The worst type of person; because he sees zero fault in what he does or say and will never improve as a person. He will only get worse.

you use racism as tool to attack other people. you are the worst kind of racist.

Another racist and bigoted comment by Tanner. Is anyone really surprised?

Keep showing your true colors. How you continue to embarrass yourself on here day in and day out is truly fascinating. It would be different if you didn't claim to be so educated and have a higher intellect than the average joe. It's very clear that all that braggadocios talk and also the way you demean others with a different view is your compensating mechanism.

Yeah, that's what the Trump supporters all say because if not, they might have to actually reflect on what they've done and take some responsibility.

It is easier to attack the people who are saying "I told you so," than doing that though, I get it. No hard feelings.

Tanner would be at the head of the line to label a certain politician a racist if he made the statement that he did. The lack of self awareness is breathtaking. He's turned a simple question of where are the camp updates into this. Then again, it's probably intentional. Hey, he got a few more hits on an empty blog.

on a positive note - a couple of interesting reads that are giving me hope common sense will prevail.

I wonder if our open-minded twitter headline reading komrade has the attention span to read them?
