There is no way to know presently what becomes of the top prospects whom tentatively is scheduled to perform collegiately next season. In fact we can even consider prospects drafted Sept 2020 from juniors hockey leagues . Those same non professional, developmental leagues oversea as well as professional leagues verily verily may experience some stopage or cancellation of games/season
This means that some prospects decide to turn professional early. Of course NHL teams will be sitting through the pitfalls of reduced revenue next seasin. And expansion comes after next season
NHL teams may/may not fill all 50 spots in their organizational roster due to the expected trimming of expenses.
The prospects whom could decide to leave early most likely are not NHL ready. So NHL teams would hope there is minor league hockey played next season
I do not believe there are any Blackhawk players whom would turn pro early. If they did, they likely are not NHL ready.
Even the diminutive scorer extraordinair C Caufield was told by Bergevin to play another season at U of Wisc to better enhance his development.
I am sure that Carreron, AEL_FOX, and wiz would inform us if anyone in our pipeline turns pro early. - jhawk59
It's still too early to say about the status of other leagues. Some have come out with plans (i.e. BCHL, some NCAA conferences) but most seem to not be at that point yet to make a decision either way.
From what I've gathered, the reason why the Habs have elected to keep Caufield at Wisconsin another season is because they don't want to rush a promising prospect like they did with Kotkaniemi.
Like Dach, though, the shutdown may have paid substantial dividends for Kotkaniemi's growth as he seems poised to elevate his game during the RTP. |

Rumor that several teams inquiring about Demko. Hawks not amongst those teams right now but would he be worth exploring given Crawford's uncertainty?
Demko has one more year on his contract at $1,050,000. What would be the price to trade for him?
Then Murray from the Penguins has been of interest by many fans at least. He's an RFA coming off of a $3,750,000 AAV contract.
Not sure if either are viable options but just throwing this out there for consideration. - AEL_Fox
I’d rather Stan get Jarry from the Pens. |

As for whether any Blackhawks prospects who have turned pro early (or may soon) could make the jump to the NHL as early as this next season, Kalynuk and Suter seem to be leading candidates.
Given the way Granato and Eaton have been talking about him, Kalynuk has the skating, defensive awareness, and offensive skill (especially on the PP) to push for a spot.
Suter is like Kubalik with pro experience, solid compete level, and fearlessness to create chances down low and may be poised to excel without any time in the minors.
Regula could state his case but would have to tip the scale in Kalynuk's favor between the two. Still think Regula is too ripe.
Barratt and Teply could be dark horses but doubt they are NHL material yet and need at least another year of development before staking a stronger claim. |

They really keep the pace moving at the scrimmage. And FTR. Kurashev is nowhere near slow. |

No thanks Wiz, if Saad is indeed traded we need younger player(s) than Manson coming back. I also think that Manson’s overall game is overrated, but many on this board will like his toughness. |

Why would he spend it now, there's going to be huge bargains the next two years in possibly a real season, not this phony exhibition. |

Maybe wishful thinking. Manson not too old (28) to trade for. We would do well to mix and match him with some young dmen prospects
My immediate thought was, why would Anaheim trade an experienced tough descent dman (not many this type in the league whom are descent) for a #2 or #3
line wing. Anaheim has Fowler too.and may continur by building around them. I am not reviewing their roster but.obviously Manson is the more prized player. Saad is fine but Manson should be a more valued player. |

Not the Josh Manson of last year, horrible would be kind. Demko is highly regarded, but when Markstrom was injured last year, Demko was meh.

Must of got writers cramp thinking of Josh Manson on the Hawks, let alone in a Saad deal.
Let me edit my original comment about Manson. He has been putrid the last TWO years. |

Manson was bad, eh. Well players find their game once the team improves or their pair partner is better. |

Connor Murphy is younger, better, and less expensive. If we need to do a salary dump with Saad, we can still do better than Josh Manson. |

I would be remiss to not include Mitchell as a leading candidate to push for a spot on the Blackhawks next season.
Different player than Kalynuk in some regards but the level of potential is the same. Both could have stayed in college one more year. |

WOW! Based on watching that scrimmage - the Hawks have great goaltending. - EbonyRaptor
I think it was Subban and Tompkins.
He keeps the tempo moving. Did you see after it ended Seabs giving the business to the red team? No wonder everyone likes him.
For what it was and not putting too much into it, but Kurashev, Sikura and Hagel can really motor. |

Sure
But you know sometimes a player changes teams and they get their sh,*t together.
GM:s look for such vulnerability.. Is Cobuurn better since he landed in Tampa? Shattenkirk better? |

So you trade Saad for Manson, without shipping out a few D, Manson is still press box fodder
Keith. Bovquist
Da Haan. Murphy
Carlson. Mitchell/Seabrook
KK. Marta, Beaudin, Manson, etc., etc.
What a terrible waste of an asset trading Saad for Manson. |
