Would love to go back to school

Qtip cuomo had the damage done there. What about the ~40 states that saw spikes 2 weeks after they started?

Interesting.... open like normal was not one of the possibilities, it's his 1st year of high school and although he couldn't care less, it makes for an odd transition

Is online or in person strictly the student's choice?

No. If the classes are around 40 students they can stick us in a 200, 300, 400 seat auditorium.

Starting online? Talk about an extended summer break

Lots of factors are playing into these spikes, the protests would probably rank at the very top.... and it's that type of reporting, or non reporting that has people turning on MSM

You don't think these giant street gatherings are causing cases to rise?

NY, CT, NJ and MA were by far the worst and they have the death rates to go with it, so ya had to open later. Every other state didn't have the numbers at the time to justify staying closed.

not in a big way no. outside activites proved to be safer than inside ones.
protests occured all over the world, even here in Mtl. and if I give you that they were probably bigger in the states, we still didn't see ANY spikes in new cases here and in other countries.
on the other hand though, reopening too soon, businesses and stores..... that you can compare what was done here, elsewhere and in the states. that was lethal. there's no other words.

NY is different. bigger city, higher density, hit very early by travellers, we knew a lot less back then than we know now...
they did reopen slowly and are now in a better place for it.
and yes, they did protest, and yet no spikes in new cases. hum

They reported 98% positive tests, but when it was looked into they admitted it was actually, i think, 9%.

Some 80-something old bag was in the hospital with covid , so they were testing here constantly. Took 15 tests, which were obviously all positive. People looked at the individuals tested and it counted here as 15 different positive cases.

These could both be one offs, but it's this sort of poop causes distrust

Transmission outside is possibly reduced if you keep your distance, I'm not sure that applies when you're all bunch up yelling, coughing and spitting in each other's vicinity.... especially considering a lot of these took place at night, one of the reasons why outside transmissions is less likely is the sun
