I have an alternative, maybe a delay of less than 12 months before a case goes to court?
- MortChicken

Yes, because the court's schedule is wide open.

Unless there's a worlwide shortage of chairs just name the appropriate number of judges to have shorter delays

I keep hearing the same thing about how we should change the justice system to help the victims more.... but everyone agrees that we need to remain innocent until proven guilty.

And then no one offers an alternative.... BUT WE NEED CHANGE.

- Scabeh

It's the joy of the peanut gallery. Think of it as Habs fans. We all say we need change but nobody can agree on what that change needs to be. People have learned that complaining is easy and actually creating a solution be damned. Outrage culture view complaining as doing your part it seems

Hey I offer solutions.

They need to trade Price and Webber and tank, fire Timmins.

Have shorter court delays.

I think we all offer solutions, I don't think there's even mild consensus beyond...WE NEED CHANGE

So you're pro Geoff Molson? He's super weak but his control is absolute. The fact it's absolutely pathetic doesn't really matter for the sake of this discussion

They won't even trade Petry & Tatar, let alone the 2 "building blocks"

He's anything but a strong dictactor, he's the former dictator's silverspoon son who walks around with fake war medals and building lego condos while Admiral-General Bergevin is ruining his country with his lieutenants.

But his command is total.

That said...let's play this out. Assuming one could trade Price for a can of beans without bringing any salary back (very unlikely but for arguments sake)...you're likely going to have to spend at least $5-6m a year on a goalie to replace him...so call it $4.5-5.5m savings...do we really believe that money will be spent on anything useful?

Weber has two or three more years before the Habs can do whatever they want with him when his salary drops. He frankly may retire. I think he's fine for those 2 to 3 years at his cap hit and again...do we believe the Habs would even spend that cap space usefully?

So trading both...I don't see much of any return beyond cap space and I don't have faith that cap space would be used well. Not saying I'm against either move, more that I don't see it happening and even if it did, I don't think the Habs would either be able to or have the brains to use that space well.

Now what I expect from MB and GM is to keep both, resign Tatar, Petry, Danault and Gallagher and keep doing his on the fly rebuild.

Long and short of it is nobody will ever agree and even if we did fat chance management and ownership would do it

You'll also be at better position at the draft instead of always gunning for that 10th place in the east and 18th overall pick.

You have to believe that Price is pretty much unmovable at this point, no?

While I fully agree...MB and GM insist on remaining competitive so I've given up on that fantasy. I prefer the MB failing by accident that we've had that got us a 3rd and may get us a weird luck 1st this year. Seriously...the weird situation this year is the Habs best shot at getting a generational player while MB and GM insist on "competing"

I was worried the obie-takemedrunkimhome feud was going to escalate. It seems to have subsided.

There is a worldwide shortage of chairs, as reported in The Economist.
