how long does a pair of shoes last you? I'm no runner but I've heard a good pair makes all the difference (....that's what she said lololol)

yup, still off from work until Monday... I would've taken 2 weeks but I felt it was pointless since I didn't have anything planned, and work from home anyways. so I'll save those days for perhaps something else later this summer

- Pat1993

So the recent pair was 2 months. They aren't finished, but they aren't made for my schedule + time + speed. Normally I stretch a pair for a year, which I shouldn't do. Who wants to buy shoes for the poopty winter roads.

Good idea. Why waste your days off if you were going to do the same working or not

it was very good, funny for a cop show. made his career. it was filmed in Hawaii, like this other show which I put out every time Habs lose 5-0.

indeed, maybe one of the best theme ever
btw, both these shows, Magnum PI and Hawaii 5-0 had sequels made the past few years. both suck compared to the originals.

2 pairs a year sounds decent, unless they're 900$ a pair loll

I need to work on my cardio, I know running would obviously be beneficial, but I just don't have any motivation to do it. maybe with a pair of Assassins I would get my mind to it

this is what I'm hoping for, I'm just not sure how long it's supposed to take, with what intensity, and if everyone experiences it or not... anyways, if you have any suggestions for a good starter shoe let me know

There is a greater chance of getting the high in the summer than winter. Intensity is something you can get a sense for. Plan a small route ~5km or a track and push yourself if you go too fast just slow down or start walking a little to catch your breathe and start running a little slower to find a comfort level. No need to go #AllOut right away.

Shoes are tough because there are a lot of factors into getting the right shoes. Go to a local Running Room/Coin des Coureurs where they can give a better fitting. Just don't go to sports experts or whatever because they'll just point to a pair of nike or ua shoes.

thanks for the pointers, makes sense. I was hoping to just buy them online but I guess it's the kind of thing you wanna try before you buy, instead of possibly having to send them back and re-order another pair, or simply missing out on a more comfortable model

Exactly. Bought my last pair while everything was closed, so I kinda went on good reviews etc... Even one of the people helping me today was saying they had a lot of returns with their online sales once things re-opened. Tried around 6 pairs today and side by side testing is the best.

Also if you walk in and the person is just fetching the shoes go somewhere else or go another time because they should take the time with you
