Tankhouse was my favourite, or that style profile. Auburn ale with a maltiness to stand up against a ton of hops. I also liked Sam Adams. Coffee beers. Waterloo Dark was good.

On the light side the aforementioned Organic, Hoeegarden, used to like Sleeman back in the day, Muskoka Cream Ale, etc.

I think it has to be injury related. If it was due to Covid, he wouldn't be at the practice facility. NHL teams can use "unfit to play" for any number of reasons
