Because we’re monsters... and monsters do monstrous things.

I'm the first one to put questionable humor out there and take the piss. That said that whole situation shouldn't have happened. I get it, no hockey, covid19. I've never been one for drama.

i understand the "asterisk" issue but at a certain point, i don't get it.

an asterisk is supposed to be something that is put into the "record book." i'm not sure about you guys but i don't look at the "record books" and daydream about yesteryear.

if i look things up, i'll be reminded of FACTS but i let the interpretation be mine not someone else's.

this year is a complete sh!tshow and it's going to be remembered. i'll remember about a cup awarded (if they do) in summer/fall. i'll remember about all the weird/insane stuff. if a major player gets the virus and it affects who won the cup, sure i'll remember and it'll provide CONTEXT to who won just like how injuries give context to games/playoffs/cup winners every year.

i don't need an asterisk to provide context. i'm perfectly capable of providing my own context.

anyway, sorry for the rant. NOT directed at you (and you don't want me to get into "legacy," because that'll set me off too )

Apologies for being a little late on the blog today - there has been a lot going on!

I'm looking forward to tonight's scrimmage. Notes on that, plus Rathbone, Tryamkin and Quinn Hughes all in the new blog:

You are correct that he is a good guy, he does bring a lot of discussion to the site.

I personally think that people shouldn't overreact to any post by an anonymous person, (Lefty is good at this, takes quite a beating at times and laughs it off) saying that, of course we have guidelines on what is acceptable and what isn't.

When things get so far out of hand that i receive 3 requests to step in on the personal attacks, then it is getting out of control. I could ban everyone involved or threaten to lock down the blog (this is not fair to Carol)

This is Carols blog, her lively hood, and we should respect that 1st and foremost. People can take their person beefs to the private messages or take it to the public forums (not secret membership only) where everyone is welcome to discuss topics other than hockey. I repeat everyone is welcome.

Here's a follow up story on the 6 year old who saved his sister from the dog attack.

Pretty Cool

You used “to do” three times in one sentence. That’s hard to do.

Or not to do that is the question lol

Why? He's a good guy, good poster. This thread is a joke sometimes, I don't blame him for taking a time out. I may actually do the same at some point.

That isn’t how I read it. The contract can’t be for this year, unless it was to “burn a year”, which in this case it isn’t the case. The holdup is the Canucks aren’t willing to add a one-way contract for next season because of their salary uncertainty.

The term cap issues can be taken many ways. Tree isn’t a priority with more important players to be dealt with 1st.
