Literally any other activity is better than spending an entire day on a boat, on the water, doing SFA. - 1970vintage

Good i wish they would close the whole season off to everyone and just let the stock replenish for a year. - neem55
If they’re going to shut it down they should shut it down for five years and let them build up their numbers again. |

People that think fishing is simply about catching make me laugh, they are absolutely oblivious to the beauty that surrounds us, although they can enjoy it in other ways.
It’s so beautiful out on the water; the other day we were heading in from Constance Bank and a small pod of seven killer whales started surfacing and jumping right out of the water, my wife was beside herself enjoying the show. Not ten minutes later two humpback’s surfaced for air a few times so she got to see that as well, all over the backdrop of a clear Olympic Mountain range view...a great day!! - Pacificgem
i don't fish but i love being on the water. a few friends, a few pops and maybe a puff or two. that's pretty ideal even without the fishing.
that image you painted sounds freaking ideal!!! |

One would do a lot of good. One every five years would be anactual solution. This or divide it into 500 square km hexes and just do fallow fields |

From Bill Meltzer on Vigneault. Good chance he wins
“I would be unpleasantly surprised if Alain Vigneault is not a Jack Adams finalist this season. If so, he will be a 5th time finalist (with four different teams). Has won once so far.
If he wins, Flyers will have its five Jack Adams winners, most among all NHL teams.” - Pacificgem
That says many things...
1) Without a cup in decades they go through many good coaches.
2) Players are good enough to be shown how to play & win.
3) Players are coach killers.
4) Coach shelf life in Philly gets them recycled often. |

Went out for an evening boat ride on Sheridan Lake yesterday hoping to catch a few with some dry flies. Was a nice evening. It's been 18 years since I went out on that lake. |

Living in the interior I miss seeing the ocean, when i'm around it there's noting better to be on it or simply sit back relax and gaze at the water.

Flyers head coach Alain Vigneault is a finalist for the Jack Adams award, along with Bruce Cassidy (BOS) and John Tortorella (CBJ). It is the 5th time (and 4th team) that AV has been a finalist. |

Real happy about Rathbone I really didn't think he'd sign during that 3 day window. Happy to be wrong. We may end up with a good D yet! |

i've always thought that there's something instinctual about humans that finds water calming/relaxing.
living in the city, it's nice to be able to get to the water so easily. |
