Can’t answer the question with anything intelligent? It’s a question if you can’t anwser it move on, is it not alright to promote a discussion to find out why Sam Reinhart is hated, and what those that want to trade him would do.
Seriously, would you be happy if he was shipped out for a late first rounder and a third liner? |

Can someone give a realistic trade involving Reinhart that makes the Sabres better now and in the future?
4 out of 5 full seasons of at least 20 goals, never scored less than 40 points and has increased point goals every year, why do we want to just get rid of the kid?
Is it only because of where he was drafted?
If Casey had put up 42 and 47 points his first two years, are we mad about that? - Sabres1523
I asked this question yesterday. You're aiming at a 2C. The position alone makes an even swap for talent impossible. So a 1 for 1, you're getting probably a ceiling 60 pt C.
How about Trochek and Pesci for Reinhart and Ristolainen.
It's a hypothetical offer based on value. I'm sure Bingo would poop all over it. |

I would guess that the Panthers would respond quickly with no to your proposed deal due to Pesce -> Ristolainen and Trochek -> Reinhart, due to the position he plays combined with the Hurricanes need at the Center position.
Pesce is also signed to a cheaper, longer deal than Reinhart. |

Or we could have picked Boeser, Konecny, Samsanov, Aho, Carlo, Hintz, Cernak,Cirelli, couple others in there to with the 7 picks we had in the top 62.
Instead we got a goalie with a substance abuse problem
A Winger who couldn't keep his hands to himself
And one who shouldn't have been traded but lost his love for the game and are owners got butt-hurt from his comments and forced Botts to trade him. We would have been better off using the picks and loading up are farm system. - Buff36
Yes name every good player but ignore the busts 😂😂. We can do that with the picks Botterill traded away too |

I think they might say no as well, but Trochek is no chance more valuable than Reinhart. I don't buy it. |

I would totally agree if Reinhart was a Center, but he's not and the Hurricanes have a need at Center, and they didn't just make that trade to strengthen that position, only to weaken it again via another trade.

Oh I wasn't looking at the offer on a needs or any real life variable basis. Just a simple in a vacuum swap of talent.
Finding a realistic trade offer would require a lot more thought. How about Reinhart and Montour for Kubalik and Strome? |

I am not ignoring the bust as you call them, just answering your post on players that were available when those picks came up, not just the one's you stated. And no we wouldn't have picked them all, but with 7 picks in the top 62, we could have hit on a few of them. And for Botts, have stated many times that some of his trades did nothing to help us. But again maybe if TM hadn't traded so many prospects and actually drafted half way decent and there was anything in the pipeline, Botts wouldn't have traded away some of those picks for players |

That's interesting Taco, I do know Chicago really likes Kubalik but that might move the needle. |

I don't get where people think Rhino is gonna get 7mill a year. If I am the Sabres I am offering a little more than what Tervanien from Carolina signed for 5yrs 27mill last year. |

"In this trade, I’m banking on the Panthers not realizing that the better defenseman in these deal is Weegar."
I think the Panthers are well aware of that. They really don't need what Risto brings, and definitely not at what he is paid. |

Now that is an interesting proposition. Very interesting.
A lot of the above depends on how much they believe in Dach. |

He signed what will be 2 offseasons ago, and prices almost always go up, not down. |

They really like a Calder finalist that scored 30 goals? Is that right Bum36? I thought your source said the Blackhawks were trading Strome for Risto and willing to throw in Kubalik who already had 25 goals at the time. Is this the same source that said expect Duds to be in Sabres organization a week ago? Your source sounds a lot like Homie’s source and neither of them are good for poop. |

My guess is the most likely deal would be a 4 year one, where he can cash in again when he turns 28. |

You really have a hard time reading with all those Vodka and Cranberry don't you TM, never have I said Risto was involved in any deal for those two. And Duds did come a week or so ago, but the meeting didn't exactly go as he thought, maybe with being so close to the Pegula's TM you can ask them why they can't get out of their own way. Have fun banging sorry mean training your horses TM. |
