This.

Just give us one of Konecny, Boeser, Aho. With three cracks at it, and this team is in better shape

IMO anything past pick like 50 is blind luck. You can put Travis Dermott in there too who’s better than Guhle.

I think Cirelli and Hintz are just luck.

Edit- Wow I thought Hintz was later than 49

He'd love a 2 year deal, but it would be insane to give it to him.

They may as well trade him then.

Yes there is a lot of luck, but with picks 31, 43, 62 we could have hit on 1 of them.

If sam takes a covid team friendly 2 year $10.25 million deal, what is his value at both trade deadlines?

With the reasonable contract is sam's trade value more than his current value?

What current draft value do you feel sam would bring back?

12-15 overall range?
15 -18?

Marcus Johansson pretty much had the same even strength points per game last season as Henrique
- homiedclown

34 to 24 overall in favor of Henrique

In fact...
Henrique had more 5v5 points than MoJo had
TOTAL points

And he’s a legit 2way Center

Could we do better?
I’m all for it
But Henrique likely comes cheap bc of his contract

It’s a hell of a lot better than some other ideas I’ve heard thrown out there
We could talk about the NSH centers for example
& their 5v5 points & Cap hits if ya like?

Favorable- Henrique & Bonino
Trash- Johansen & Turris

Everybody misses, we have missed on a ton of picks. But we had 7 picks in the top 62 in that draft and we used 2.

We've missed at drafting
We've missed at developing
We've missed at coaching systems
We've missed at trades

We are the worst team over the past decade for a reason.

The 2 ror trades and 2 ek9 trades sum it all up
Over pay then get little in return

Dumb fitz

Never asked the b!tch for an autograph. Nor will I.

He dissed a friend on mines daughter, said : "I cant take a picture with you, my girlfriend wouldnt like it"

He is a huge drunk punk. I have inside information about being almost arrested after numerous warnings

And :

He's really soft and overrated by playing with eichel.
Very un exciting guy in person, which I pay $ to be entertained.

Ooooooh nooooooo....

Your question confuses me. If you're moving him at the deadline, then you don't know where a 1st rounder would be. Default good player as a rental is usually a conditional 1st + a prospect. Sam's age brings that up a notch.

But really, a 2 year deal at any $ value isn't team friendly. Like Kingcong said, might as well trade him if you're discussing a 2 year deal.

The couple times I met jim Kelly, he was a great guy.

Got the inside scoop, rode my bike up to the realestate office and met jim kelly and greg bell. When kelly just signed. They were buying/renting a house together.

Met kelly at O'tooles on maple 10 years later, the old Hooters. Also very pleasant. Happy to sign autographs.

And met him last year at his kelly camp.

Super impressed with his speech and the time he invests in the camp. He doesnt just put his name on the camp, he still is heavily involved.

I was never a fan of his on field play. #frankreich

What's a good deal to be talking about, how many years, dollar figures. Has to be qualified at 3.75m.

What's Sam's equal draft value currently- id say around 12 th -14th overall?

Is his value at the deadline worth more than his current (14th overall) value?

Basically, if we sign him to a reasonable 2 year deal and then trade him, is his value better at either deadline than now?

A team gets 2 playoff runs for a prorated 5.2 million this year and the full value next year?

Sam would probably like the 2 year deal, sabres get another look at his growth? He goes ufa at 27 like okposo.

I guess it's an interesting question, but there's just too many variables. Deadline trades are usually selling a guy for futures. If you want a hockey trade, it happens in the off season.

If they are so non-committal that they sign him to a 2 year, and then move him at a deadline, we're doomed. The fact that there's still questions about him after a bridge deal sucks, but they have to make a call. Same on Risto.

Weird times in hockey right know, contracts could be handled a lot differently for the next 2 to 3yrs.

That’s nice you had good experiences with him,
but his rep for being a douchebag is very well earned... it’s no secret

And u aren’t really saying Reich over Kelly on the field... are you?

And seriously...
EVERY athlete turns down pics & autographs at times
And most aren’t exempt from douchey behavior at times
Especially when they’re young

If you’re using these as examples,
we would not be able to field a team that could compete in the AHL, let alone get the Sabres where we wanna be

Jack was a big punk when he first got here too

4 years @ 6-7M is what happens when you can't agree on a longer term deal.

JB was a lot easier to predict.

If he isn't traded I was thinking 5 yrs 29.5mill. But also wouldn't surprise me if the Sabres do another shorter deal with what’s happening.

5 years is in the same ballpark. 29.5 would be team friendly, imo.

Nothing would be completely shocking right now.

Well going of off what Tervanien from Carolina got this past year, and he has hit 60pts or more 3 years in a row. He signed 5yrs 27mill.

That's the most optimistic comp you'll find. It's a strong comp, in many ways, but there's a lot more that are significantly higher.

I agree, but it's a very fair deal, and if he doesn't like it then who needs a RW and what are we getting back.

What questions? He is who he is. A very good winger, not a superstar.

If we move him we’re immediately looking to replace him
