My dad was telling me that Sportsnet is getting the Western games and that NBC is getting the Eastern games. Is this real?
'Cause it'll be great to not have to listen to Hughson but it's gonna be awful getting Doc Emrick and McGuire. |

As a guy who gets stuck with the NBC clowns.. I'd take any of the Canadian broadcast teams over the NBC idiots.. Kenny Albert isn't bad .. Neither is John Forslund but the rest ..yukkk.
My favorite is the Vancouver guys... Really like them.. |

Sorry, only black lives matter. Whites will continue to be persecuted and killed indiscriminately by the police. I wish there was something we could do but blacks got the trademark first - Canada Cup
To be perfectly honest, I have been somewhat uncomfortable with the level of vitriol directed at people who say "All Lives Matter."
I don't say it.
I think it looks stupid.
There have been great analogies on the internet, such as "Save the Rainforest" does not mean "Burn All Other Forests Down!"
But if someone wants to say "All Lives Matter" - surely our society can tolerate that without painting them as racists? |

He would really help that second unit. In a short series where your big boys are rested and bottom lines don’t need a lot of ice time you could probably protect him to use him on the PP.
Also, it’s not as if all of our bottom 6 were studs all year. If he shows it, play him. It’s not like throwing a kid into an 82 game season. - Canada Cup
I'd be interested to see him play on one of the top 2 lines. Tough to validate giving an 18 year old rookie top 6 minutes, but I can see him immediately making his line just that much more dangerous. He is needed on that second PP unit.
Also, Mikheyev then gets shifted to that third line... Which is desperately in need of a boost.

My understanding is that it will still be Canadian announcers.

I've learned that staying out of that debate entirely is the route to go.

Oh Lord, it's starting already.
He hasn't played a single franking shift in the NHL, and you guys are already putting him on the top line in the playoffs?
If I had mad interwebz skills, I'd photoshop a Leafs logo on a pendulum. |

Cuthburt is with Sportsnet now, so I was hoping he'd be doing the Eastern games.
Of course, it'd be the best if for the Leafs games, we could actually get Bonsie calling the games. |

Let’s see how the camp goes but I don’t discount the idea of adding more skill to a team that relies on skill.
Don’t be a stick in the mud. This is playing around after months of nothing other than dumb trade ideas and cap he’ll to talk about.
He still has to earn a spot. It’s not impossible that he earns a spot. If he does, fewer minutes would be safer |

Oh I can totally accept it as a reach... And I typically would be the last guy to pitch it.
But... The kid can fill the net. Matthews and Marner can carry just about anyone.
I think getting him into the lineup in some fashion is a must as the second PP desperately needs the scoring potential. At that point he is better served set up for success than playing 5 minutes a game with Clifford and spezza.
Getting Mikheyev to that third line is imperative to me as well, that line is total dead weight as is. Only other option is to pitch Engvall in the top 6...and no.
I can accept the heat that comes with the suggestion, it is wild. |

So you criticize me for criticizing others for suggesting he be put on the top line, and then you end off with the bolded?
I think we are on the same page on this subject - it's just you are jealous of my good looks. |

I like Mikheyev in the top six. He and Hyman compliment the top two lines nicely and are a good change of pace from the skill guys.
The third line will have to figure itself out. |
