Man I wish the leafs weren't the only team affected by the cap. Sucks that all other teams can freely go over thr cap, but only one team (the leafs) are bound by it

Granted, Muzzin was taking it a bit easy here but everything about this kid screams potential star.

I liked Gudas when he played for Tampa. He's actually a serviceable d-man if you can keep his murderous instincts in check. Plus, that beard.

This is my concern with Gudas on the Leafs: we don't have too many murderers so, if we get one, he'll kick his rage into overdrive and take terrible, terrible penalties (a la Clarkson).

So what I'm saying is: we need two murderers to share the murderous load.

Right now, $5 million per year for Freddie seems about right.

I wouldn't give him a raise, and I doubt any NHL GM would, either.

There's still a handful of teams (good ones) with space. Avs, Panthers and (gulp) Bruins could all offer AP a big long contract.

I think the big guys will get typical pay. The Arb rights guys will get paid too ...and so will the young guys. The middle of the pack UFA's will get squeezed.

Looked to me to be a veteran with a guaranteed spot in the top four on the first day of camp vs a rookie looking to prove himself and get some playing time.
