90% of the NHL don’t have the cap or actual dollars to give money out.

It sucks but any player without a contract right now is about to take a huge paycut. The star players will still get paid...and that will take even more money available from the mid to low level guys.

The Leafs can take advantage of the market place here...any Toronto guys in the UFA market who wouldn’t mind coming home to be close to family for the winter?
