My compulsive nature rises it’s ugly head...

Potential lines given who is here & a prospect.

Miller Petey Boeser
TT Bo Podkolzin
Hoglander Gaudette JV

Assuming Pearson traded or walks as a UFA. Nothing against himI actually think he got better here than he ever was. A valuable asset if JB goes there.

MacE is awesome in the bottom 3 if others make it so. He can also move up if injuries the way he has improved & developed.

Ferland is not a problem. Healthy he is a good fit. Retires then sorry for him but we can absorb the loss. Healthy & fully recovered means more assets for fixing the D.

The D pipeline looks solid. Only missing a top 2 RHD for when Tanev is gone. We get lucky if it’s Woo or draft/trade for a stud then you know what’s next...

Plan the parade 😂😂🍺

I like him but slow down. The kid has some talent but he is far from the defensive player he has to be to be classified as one of the best 3c in the league or better than any we've had. Kesler was a great 3rd C and I doubt he'll be better than Bo.
- boonerbuck

All true but Kesler & Bo moved up to 2C once they seasoned.

D is all I can see AG needing to improve. One thing about playing C it’s easy & difficult to learn D for the position. Surround him with 2-way wingers & it’s solved. In the D zone C plays high checking down the point & collapsing in front of the net when it’s needed. Generally to check sometimes but more often to pounce on loose pucks. In the O zone it’s high again & force passes/carry outs to the side the system wants so as to squeeze the neutral zone. Some teams use the boring LW lock. Lastly as a C he suppoets the pucj at every opportunity. Floaters never make it as a C & usually the reason to hide them on the wing.

As of late I use Bonino as an example. Pitt had it great when he was there. Gaudette can spark the offence at 3C also. If he looks at Bonino & driven to play like that or even better is what I hope for.

Just ignore the top 6 for a minute...

It will sort itself out no worries.
The 3rd line is something to be very excited/optimistic about.

No soup for you (Sienfeld reference) .... its hockey talk time... lol... so here's a general comment not directed at you...

For all the talk on Rathbone have been posting for days its Aug. 15, 2022 to sign him NOT next summer. See link below if you need proof.

https://www.capfriendly.c...eams/canucks/reserve-list

So if he doesn't sign this window the Canucks can't have him play pro in their next season. Though if that is still on they can try next window when college season officially over. Both those start and end dates on NHL and NCAA or Harvard Ivy league are TBD at the moment. So they may overlap.

Also, Rathbone can't drop out and sign with any other league NHL has agreements with other then KHL. But then Canucks keep his NHL rights indefinate like Podz. as posted in the link.

All good but incomplete. As of now Harvard has only online courses & no hockey. So til hockey starts up he isn’t obligated to retain his amateur status.

Rights slide for ELC purposes & are not indefinite. RFA rights I believe if you look at Tryamkin you will see we have him til 27yrs old.
