Mine passed at 6 - jimi james
Jimi I’m so sorry.
Mine is still healthy and turns 5 on 7/20. Not trying to compare, I’m just so happy she’s still healthy. You know what I’m talking about. |

Even though Toronto are a good team, they aren't in the first tier of teams. I wish them well tho... Let's just see what happens.
My only point was some people here are completely writing off the BJs, which doesn't make sense to me.
First tier in my view are the round robin teams plus Pittsburgh. - kaptaan
I think this thing is much more open than you do. There are a lot of contenders. |

There were three Leafs teams this year:
- Babcock underachievers
- Keefe's Leafs - statistically one of the top teams in the league
- Leafs without Muzzin and Rielly - they simply couldn't compete with holes in a wafer-thin blueline.
So forgive Leafs fans for our optimism - in theory, we will see the middle Leafs listed above - Atomic Wedgie
I take nothing away from fans optimism. Every teams fans should have expectations. Every team is pretty healthy & fresh & rusty. It will be entertaining times in the PO’s. I hope every series is good & the best team wins.

The phrase "On paper" is meaningless. It's as useful as, and worth about....a piece of paper. Are some of the Leafs more skilled and talented than Columbus players? Yes. Does that necessarily make the Leafs a "better team"? Nope. - fifty__missions
Sorry but it absolutely does. |

Go look for yourself to support your claim.
As for 2 top teams duh. Nobody said otherwise. You too put down your pom poms & read. 2 worst teams are in the Atlantic & 4 of 8 overall.
That’s the entire story not just what suits your weak narrative. - Nighthawk
Lol ok. Must be true. Jones missed last 22 games the rest were mostly depth guys,
Leafs #1 dman was injured all year and did actually miss like 2 month+ and their 2nd dman lost 2 seperate times. Lost Tavares to a broken finger for a month. Started the year missing a top 6 winger and 3rd dman. Lost an impressive rookie to a horrific wrist injury.
But sure leafs had no injuries. Try doing your own research.
Ironic you talking about fitting a narrative, look at what you posted and then look at the facts.
Clb top two dmen missed 7 and 14 games. Leafs top 2 missed 23 and 17. One had massive injuries to their team (and didn't use as excuse) the other one didn't have any injuries at all (and used injuries as an excuse)

No, no. Detroit only looked bad on paper going into the season this year. |

what if a starting goalie opts out?
Boston without rask or Flyers without Hart...
Tampa without Vasilevskiy...
Will be a different playoffs perspective for those teams - I guess as well that team 'fans' will be more critical on goalies than any other players for opting out..
(at least Leafs don't have this problem since Ander7n normally sucks in playoffs - in particular decisive games).
