I think they have two good goalies and a good defense. I’m not the only one I’ve heard suggesting the Jackets could win.

Korpisalo and Mzerklins?

Koprisalo is an average starter and Mzerklins is a backup.

Their D is good and their forward depth is abysmal. With no Anderson or Dubinsky it is bad.

Their top scorer had 49 points and only 3 teams in the NHL scored fewer goals this season. Anything can happen in a short series, but I like the Leafs here.

It really isn't close on paper.

hypertension. diabetes. etc. etc. are the common underlying diseases that associated to dying from covid-19.

these diseases are strongly associated to excessive weight.

people need to be healthier. if people were healthier, less people die form covid-19.

this should not be controversial and really should be the focus of how to minimize the impact of the next pandemic.

yes.

things like eating healthy and exercise will surely make us less prepared than sitting on the couch eating cheetos.

I’d be pretty annoyed with amnesty buyouts and I was the last time too. Manage the cap better or pay the price like both the leafs and bruins have in the last year.

It would be disappointing, however over a dozen teams with horrible contracts would do a happy dance.

Elvis has been good but we have no idea how players will respond after being off for over 4 months.

Leafs have the better team overall, but I do think it will be close. It comes down to the play of Andersen..

Binnington can’t hear you with his Stanley Cup ring plugging his ear.

Call me crazy but I am more confident in the only goalie in this series to start more than 40 games in a season...

Wait. Don't call me crazy because that makes perfect sense.

It does make sense to me, but I could see CBJ scoring some weak goals. I think they'll score a lot of garbage goals

Scheduled to be an RFA, but would not surprise me if they let him walk.

so you're saying all the covid deads and chronically ill are basically getting what came to them anyways... right?

no mercy..!

- MaximusAurelius

it should be a warning that we need to be better prepared as a society for the next pandemic. We should be on-guard for the potential of something far worse than covid-19.

A multi-faceted approach to prevention/minimization is required.

Ignoring underlying health and social issues will be a set-up for failure.

I'd imagine they will find a dance partner for a player in a similar situation

Lias Anderson comes to mind

I think Freddy's consistency is actually pretty good.

If you look at every NHL starter month to month you'll see the same inconsistencies. But when you are a fan of a team you think your team is the only one that goes through it.

Any other team I would probably agree. But Freddie Gauthier would be a top six forward on Columbus

https://www.dailyfaceoff....ackets/line-combinations/

CBJ was one of the lowest ranked teams going into the season. They are without Josh Anderson now too.

A hot streak from their two goalies got them to where they are today. Their hot streak was 5 months ago....I don't see it carrying over.
