good to know

so you're having a pre-mixed drink?

- Pat1993

Yeah, I tend not to keep a lot of big bottles around. Can be dangerous.

BUT......
I made a rosemary simple syrup before, mixed with gin, and muddled cucumber and mint over ice. Super refreshing.

I haven't, but I'll keep my eyes open. I love citrus flavors.

well if you love orange, then you'll love that. personally the taste is just not what I look for when drinking gin (it's well crafted, but I still felt it tasted cheap/artificial )

Currently opened an Elderberry and Blueberry Kolsch, floral, but a nice blueberry finish.

I find you need to be careful with orange. Too easy to be floral, which is not my bag. Lime is my citrus of choice.

the Romeo gin is definitely more in the cucumber tone, tastes really good and refreshing, as you describe

Pat, if you're in QC, if you can find anything by NickleBrook Brewery, they have fantastic strong beers. Only pain in the ass is their wax seals.

yeah just spotted it on the LCBO website, Adam French also found a potentially very good gin there (Hendricks' Midsummer Solstice? love Hendricks but never tried that one) so I guess I'll have a little trip to Ottawa soon..

Hendricks makes an amazing gin. Go straight before the Midsummer if you avoid floral.

If you don't mind floral, and you're a gin fan, AND buying in Ontario? Look for Dillon's Rose gin. They make a fantastic gin, made sanitizer during the (ongoing) pandemic, and although I haven't tried it, I trust the brand.
