C'est plate mais qu'est-ce qui est mieux? Avoir de la business jusqu'à minuit ou bin pas en avoir pantoute à cause d'un outbreak?

While I agree it's better to wear a mask the "it's just..." has been used a lot in the last few months.

so they should start using "it's only" instead..?

I see Amazon has also stopped selling Redskins gear. Great to know a company that times employees piss breaks are so morally pure
- mr.peanut

So because they're deeply flawed they shouldn't take any steps that may be better? I get that it's corporate BS to try and make them look caring, but would you prefer they don't do anything positive unless they do everything perfectly? It's a weird standard people hold companies like Amazon to. I'm just loving that my Amazon stock is up something like 40% in 2020 alone

It's the same thing. Better to tell people do it rather than always passing every request as a small favor. Lending your buddy $5 is just $5 until it's the 10th time.

"We need people to wear masks..." or "In the interest of public safety..." are better ways of spreading the message.

I think a hammer would be a better way of spreading the message down South

Treating your underpaid employees is much worse than a nickname of a sports team.

I doubt the issue is with the way the message is conveyed... a lot of people have been adamant about not wearing masks and it's not because we didn't ask them nicely

That didn't address anything I said. Literally just danced around it. People have weird standards and expectations of perfection from these companies that are legally compelled to drive the greatest return on investment for shareholders possible. My simple question is would you rather they not do anything about anything until they are the ideal standard of perfection we expect from them? If that's the standard we won't even have mom and pop stores

You'd be surprised. I don't agree, but when you've already told to give up a lot in the last few months people get fed up. Especially when they were first told not to wear them

no my point is that forcing a team name change will not improve ANYONE'S life. Not a single person it simply is PR. A company like Amazon does not care about bettering anyone. If it's about making Native Americans feel better then try to employ more, give them opportunities at the company that actually is doing something. And when they're hired, don't fire them because they took a sick day. Treating people at your company like literally pieces of poop to make money isn't expecting the highest moral standards it's human decency. They don't have to be perfect, no one said they have to.

the way I understood the message here is at first there were a few arguments about not wearing masks, such as the inventory (they needed to save some for essential workers), the usefulness (the mask won't prevent you from getting sick, so if you don't have any symptoms it's sorta pointless), and the risk of giving people a false sense of invincibility when wearing one...

imo it's kind of childish to say "omg make up your mind you guys" when it's definitely a new situation for everyone, with a lot of unknowns. it's normal that even scientists/doctors change their opinion on something

the fake outrage coming from people who complain nonstop about fake outrage is amazing.

if a product changing their name gets someone that upset they really need to take a look at themselves, not at a bottle of syrup.

And apparently they told that because there was a shortage of mask in hospitals so they wanted to keep whatever they could find for the medical field. Now everyone has a stash or a couple of those homemade mask.

But I would go region by region

I don't care if they change their name Snyder can do what he wants, but when Nike and Amazon jump on with their issues is ridiculous
