Even said the calls with the pa have been a complete joke and have only concentrated on financials.
Apparently most players dont feel comfortable with playing.

OK. Don't know why I though it was Bieksa, then. Maybe he might have said something, too?

Either way, I think if just 1 big name ops out, others might follow suit.

I posted a quote a while ago from a player, saying that 75% of the players he talked to were hesitant or didnt want to play.

forget who it was, might have been Beiksa.

In Canada at least the outlook has improved a lot, if most wear masks going forward, it should really help.

too bad the masks werent put in place in March..

You need to appreciate the situation that Leaf fans are in. Detroit were robbed this year. Hopefully they change the draft lottery. That should not happen again. Detroit should have better odds to land the #1 pick.

Is it a head shake that you wouldn't trade Kerfoot and Holl for Kilngberg or a head shake 'cause Dallas wouldn't do it?

'Cause I'd do that trade in a heartbeat.

- GreatGigInTheSky

Yeah, to be honest, I'd probably do that deal too. Klingberg is sort of a Barrie-esque player from what I've seen though - not exactly the most defensively reliable.

Then again, I haven't watched him play too much - just a loose scouting report from my uncle who's a Dallas Stars fan. You can take his thoughts with a grain of salt.

if they get infected is it from a lack of discipline?

not sure how it works...at least we know the Isls wont get any ..cuz Lou

Theoretically they should all be in the clear if everything goes according to plan. Once they’re in the bubble they should be pretty safe.

Golf is still trucking along and they are travelling to different cities every week with different staff and different players coming in and out. As long you do it right everyone should be ok.

if playoffs would not start, only proper way to go would be to have all 24 remaining teams have an equal chance at the #1 pick.
but apparently it's the 'lowest 8 teams in standings' -- doesn't make sense since if no playoffs, tampa, toronto and boston should have same chance of #1 pick as montreal imo.

I'm gonna disagree. I like the way the NHL does it.

Yeah, it sucks ass for them, and I understand their anger, but I don't like last place = guaranteed 1st overall or close to that. I like that every team that doesn't make the playoffs has a chance at it.

Maybe change it so that last place can only fall to 3rd overall instead of 4th.

it's much more distinctive than for example the leafs jerseys.
it's not about 'beauty', it's about uniqueness / own identity.
leafs blue/white is much more common in sports jerseys vs the red/white/blue of habs.

I'm not the biggest Klingberg fan like a lot of others are (apparently he's got really good advanced stats?) but I do think he's good and that's not a big price to pay at all.

Fact is that the new CBA is not that bad for players given how poopty the economics of the League are right now. I think it’s way too costly to walk away. Besides, the safest place they can be is in one of the two bubbles. Unless the training camps blow up, they’ll play.

I agree.

No playoffs means no payoffs for the better teams means all teams need to have lottery odds.

As long as they have a pick.

Red and blue colour scheme is the most popular in NA pro sports.

But yes a toilet seat is unique.

Yeah, I'm gonna agree.

And it's not like I don't don't like it because I dislike the Habs or anything. I don't like Buffalo and they've got a good sweater (not the slug one ) and same with Vancouver (one only, the rest are trash) and Detroit.
